About Lead

Lead is a banking infrastructure platform trusted by the most innovative companies to power complex financial products. We enable fintechs to offer compliant, programmable services like payments, lending, and digital assets at scale. Banking has moved beyond traditional institutions and is now embedded directly into everyday experiences, meaning companies need modern infrastructure that is safe, secure, and operationally sound.

Today, Lead is one of the only API-first, developer-focused partner banks with the financial, regulatory, and legal expertise required to help fintechs succeed. We operate offices in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and New York City, and an FDIC-insured bank in Kansas City.

Financial Planning & Analysis Team at Lead

The Financial Planning & Analysis team ensures Lead's future by turning financial and operational data into actionable business strategy. Working closely with all team heads, they are responsible for budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, performance reporting, and strategic advising. They provide executive leaders with insight into all investments and growth initiatives, bringing clarity to complex decision-making. Their work guarantees that the company allocates resources thoughtfully and executes against its goals. It's a team built for analytical problem solvers who demonstrate great attention to detail, enjoy seeing the bigger picture, and want to learn and grow as a fast-growing fintech bank evolves.

Role Description

We are looking to hire a Senior FP&A & Treasury Strategy Analyst to join a growing team of finance and accounting professionals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial insights to stakeholders, supporting planning and forecasting activities, and contributing to the build and development of FP&A tools - with a core focus on bank balance sheet modeling, capital allocation, and regulatory ratio calculations.

In this role you will:

- Develop, own, and maintain bank balance sheet and capital allocation models to optimize net interest income (NII), manage liquidity, and inform asset-liability management (ALM) strategy (such as allocating balance sheet capacity to various asset alternatives).

- Familiarity with forward flow, ABS-style structures

- Incorporate regulatory capital and liquidity ratio considerations (e.g., LCR, NSFR, CET1, Tier 1 Leverage) into integrated financial planning, stress testing, and scenario analysis.

- Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning

- Perform variance analysis to identify financial discrepancies and provide insights

- Ensure data accuracy and completeness through data cleansing and quality assurance procedures

- Build and prepare reports to communicate financial findings and recommendations

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and support financial planning initiatives

- Build and improve cashflow planning processes and analytics

- Support the development of cost allocations and profitability analytics

- Clearly communicate financial data and analysis to stakeholders

- Document financial models and assumptions to ensure transparency and maintain institutional knowledge

- Demonstrate a mindset that balances operational excellence and continuous improvement

- Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed to support decision-making

- Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- 4-6+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Treasury, or Asset-Liability Management (ALM) - ideally within a Corporate Treasury division at a major financial institution or a high-growth Fintech preferred

- Deep proficiency in balance sheet modeling, including interest rate risk (IRRBB), capital planning, and bank regulatory frameworks.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

- Experience building and maintaining financial models

- Skilled at analyzing financial data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with additional skills in FP&A software like Vena and use of AI software preferred

- Intellectually curious

- Strong attention to detail, judgment, and analytical skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
