This position is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of accountable personal property, ensuring accurate inventory control, maintaining compliant Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) records within the FRAMES application, and coordinating the calibration of precision tools and equipment to support operational readiness, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

Property Accountability and Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and Property Delegate for asset tracking, property accountability, and inventory management in accordance with applicable FAA orders, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of accountable personal property, including acquisition, receipt, tagging, assignment, physical control, maintenance, utilization, transfer, and final disposition.
  • Ensure property records are accurate, complete, current, and supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Establish and maintain effective property control procedures to safeguard Government assets and ensure traceability throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Coordinate periodic physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, investigate lost or unaccounted-for property, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor property utilization, identify excess or underutilized assets, and coordinate appropriate redistribution, excess processing, and disposal activities.
  • Maintain audit-ready records and provide property reports, supporting documentation, and inventory status updates to management and authorized stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, program personnel, property custodians, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to resolve property management issues and maintain compliance.

Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and FRAMES Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate and compliant Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory records within the FRAMES application.
  • Perform timely updates to reflect equipment acquisitions, additions, assignments, transfers, changes in custody or location, excess actions, depot returns, and other inventory related transactions.
  • Validate inventory data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established property management requirements.
  • Reconcile FRAMES records against physical inventory results, source documentation, and other applicable property records.
  • Track and coordinate inventory support activities, ensuring transactions are properly documented and completed within established timelines.
  • Monitor outstanding property actions and discrepancies, coordinate resolution with responsible personnel, and maintain appropriate supporting records.
  • Generate inventory reports and provide status updates to support management decisions, audits, inspections, and property accountability reviews.
  • Ensure all GFE transactions and supporting documentation comply with applicable FAA policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.

Precision Tool and Equipment Calibration Management

  • Schedule, coordinate, and track periodic calibration of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other equipment requiring calibration to maintain measurement accuracy and operational reliability.
  • Maintain a centralized calibration schedule and monitor due dates, expiration dates, and recurring calibration intervals.
  • Coordinate calibration services with approved or qualified calibration providers and internal technical personnel.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated in accordance with applicable technical specifications, manufacturer requirements, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive calibration logs, certificates, service reports, and supporting documentation to demonstrate traceability and compliance.
  • Monitor calibration status and promptly identify overdue, expired, damaged, or out-of-tolerance equipment.
  • Coordinate appropriate corrective actions, including equipment removal from service, recalibration, repair, replacement, and impact assessments when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate equipment identification, calibration history, and status records to support audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
  • Communicate upcoming calibration requirements and potential operational impacts to relevant stakeholders to minimize equipment downtime and maintain mission readiness.

Compliance, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure logistics, property accountability, GFE management, and calibration activities adhere to applicable FAA orders, policies, procedures, and organizational quality requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, inventory validations, and compliance assessments by providing accurate records and supporting documentation.
  • Identify process gaps, assess risks to property accountability and equipment readiness, and recommend improvements to logistics procedures and internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, tracking mechanisms, and reporting tools to improve accountability, efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions through completion and maintain documentation demonstrating compliance.
  • Provide regular reports on asset status, inventory accuracy, outstanding property transactions, calibration schedules, and compliance-related issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years relevant experience or Masters degree and 6 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • Experience in logistics management, property accountability, asset management, inventory control, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Government property management principles, asset lifecycle controls, and inventory reconciliation practices.
  • Experience maintaining equipment or property inventory records in an electronic asset management or property tracking system; experience with FRAMES is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of calibration scheduling, equipment tracking, calibration documentation, and quality control practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely completion of property and calibration actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, inventory tracking tools, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical teams, property custodians, management, and external service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
