The Leidos AEGIS program is seeking an experienced MS Teams Collaboration Engineer to support the design, deployment, administration, and maintenance of enterprise audiovisual (AV) and collaboration technologies at NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas. This position will primarily provide onsite support at JSC while collaborating with technical teams across other NASA centers to ensure reliable and secure collaboration environments.
In this role, you will serve as a primary technical subject matter expert for the Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) ecosystem, specializing in the integration and support of Logitech, Crestron, Cisco, and other conferencing technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with AV systems, collaboration platforms, and Microsoft Teams Rooms administration to ensure system availability, optimal audio and video performance, and seamless hybrid meeting experiences across mission support facilities, conference rooms, and campus collaboration spaces.
Primary Responsibilities:
Onsite Operations & MTR Administration
- Hardware Integration: Install, configure, maintain, and support conferencing devices, including Logitech, Cisco, Crestron, and other Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)-compatible technologies. Integrate AV peripherals, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and other approved conferencing devices.
- Physical Deployment: Perform physical installation, equipment mounting, cable management, and hardware configuration for Windows- and Android-based MTR endpoints across the Johnson Space Center campus. Provide installation and technical support to collaboration teams at other NASA centers, including occasional travel as needed.
- Portal Management: Collaborate with the Microsoft Intune Administrator to manage and monitor the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal, Teams Admin Center, and third-party management platforms, including Cisco Control Hub, Crestron XiO Cloud, and Logitech Sync. Monitor equipment health, system availability, device status, and peripheral performance.
- Firmware & Patching: Coordinate with the Microsoft Intune Administrator to plan, test, and deploy software updates, security patches, and manufacturer firmware upgrades using approved management tools.
- Incident Management: Provide hands-on, onsite troubleshooting and resolution of complex audio, video, control programming, hardware, and network connectivity issues to maintain reliable conferencing operations.
AV Engineering & Lifecycle Design
- Hardware Standardization: Evaluate, recommend, and standardize Teams-certified AV hardware, including microphones, cameras, digital signal processors (DSPs), and control panels, across multiple vendor platforms.
- Deployment & Integration: Support the configuration and integration of Microsoft Teams resource accounts, Exchange calendars, enterprise conditional access policies, and network Quality of Service (QoS) settings as required.
- Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, network, cybersecurity, and technical support teams to ensure conferencing systems meet operational, performance, and security requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in audiovisual (AV) engineering, unified communications, or collaboration workspace management. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Technical Experience & Skills
- Vendor Expertise: Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and programming Logitech, Crestron, Cisco, and other conferencing devices.
- Platform Expertise: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms architecture, including Windows- and Android-based environments, hardware integration, networking, and software management tools. Experience supporting cross-platform conferencing capabilities, including Cisco devices operating in Microsoft Teams Rooms mode.
- Control Systems: Experience with collaboration and conferencing control systems, including the ability to follow user interface (UI) design workflows to operate, troubleshoot, and repair systems.
- Networking & Security: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewall rules, and Microsoft 365 Conditional Access policies.
- AV Fundamentals: Ability to read and interpret high-level wiring diagrams to support AV system installation and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Crestron and AMX control systems, display technologies, video and audio switching technologies, including standards-based and AV-over-LAN solutions, and audio digital signal processor (DSP) configuration and gain structure.
- Microsoft 365 Ecosystem: Experience managing Microsoft Teams resource accounts, licensing, and Exchange room calendars.
Work Location & Travel
- Onsite Requirement: Ability to work onsite five (5) days per week at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
- Travel: Ability to travel occasionally to other NASA centers as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Government Environment Experience
- Experience supporting government network environments and associated hardware security requirements.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft: MS-700 (Managing Microsoft Teams) certification or specialized Microsoft Teams Rooms training.
- AV Industry: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or Certified Technology Specialist – Installation (CTS-I) certification.
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
