Voor een ambitieuze, internationaal actieve softwareontwikkelaar in West-Vlaanderen zoeken wij een QA Engineer met een passie voor moderne testarchitectuur en automatisering. Deze organisatie bouwt krachtige SaaS-oplossingen die bedrijfsprocessen optimaliseren voor tienduizenden gebruikers verspreid over tien Europese landen. Kwaliteit, cloud-native innovatie en de slimme inzet van AI (onder meer via GitHub Copilot) staan hier centraal in de dagelijkse engineeringcultuur.

Jobomschrijving

Jouw impact als QA Engineer

Als technisch ankerpunt binnen het QA-team til je samen met de QA Lead en het development team de softwarekwaliteit naar een hoger niveau. Je bent betrokken vanaf de allereerste analyse tot en met productie.

  • Testautomatisering & Framework: Je bouwt en optimaliseert geautomatiseerde end-to-end tests en zet bestaande manuele testcases gestructureerd om naar het testframework. Je bewaakt de kwaliteit via code reviews en integreert suites naadloos in de CI/CD-pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • AI als accelerator: Je experimenteert actief met AI-tools om sneller en slimmer testcode te genereren, edge cases te voorspellen en regressiesets te verfijnen.
  • Echte 'Shift-Left' mentaliteit: Kwaliteit begint vóór de eerste regel code. Je denkt in de analysefase al mee met product owners en developers over testbaarheid, risico’s en niet-voor-de-hand-liggende scenario's.
  • Manueel & Exploratief testen: Waar automatisering nog in opbouw is, voer je doelgerichte feature- en regressietests uit. Gevonden bugs documenteer je haarscherp, met heldere reproductiestappen en concrete context.
  • Kennisdeling & Strategie: Je vertaalt testresultaten naar strategisch advies voor go/no-go beslissingen. Daarnaast werk je samen met externe QA-specialisten in gerichte coachingsessies en deel je best practices met je interne collega’s.

Wie zoeken we?

  • Ervaring: Minimaal 3 jaar hands-on ervaring binnen QA, met een bewezen balans tussen manueel testen en geautomatiseerd testen.
  • Opleiding: Een bachelordiploma in IT / Toegepaste Informatica of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Tech stack: Ervaring met moderne frameworks voor testautomatisering (zoals Playwright, Cypress of vergelijkbaar), Git en CI/CD-omgevingen (bij voorkeur Azure DevOps).
  • AI-minded: Een gezonde nieuwsgierigheid naar hoe tools als GitHub Copilot en AI-testing jouw workflow kunnen versterken.
  • Analytische drive: Je stopt niet bij het vinden van een bug; je wilt begrijpen waarom iets faalt en hoe het structureel voorkomen kan worden in de architectuur of het proces.
  • Communicatie: Vlotte beheersing van het Nederlands. Je brengt technische risico’s helder en overtuigend over aan zowel developers als product management.
  • Ervaring met testbeheertools zoals Qase is een mooi pluspunt.
