Join LIFE, Inc. - Edenton as a Group Home Worker in Edenton, NC, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with daily living activities and promoting their independence. This part-time position offers an hourly wage of $17.50, paid bi-weekly, with shifts available on both the 1st and 2nd shifts. As a valued member of our team, you will help create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance and supervision to clients during personal care activities such as dressing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Support clients during meal times, ensuring the effective use of family-style dining to foster social engagement and healthy eating habits.
  • Assist clients with housekeeping tasks, including clothing care, household cleaning, and yard maintenance, promoting cleanliness and organization.
  • Help prepare meals and nutritional supplements, ensuring clients receive proper nourishment.
  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and monitor clients for any reactions or side effects.
  • Implement prescribed diet plans and assist clients in using adaptive equipment to support their health and mobility.
  • Follow established behavioral programs, maintain detailed data collection, and adhere strictly to all safety protocols.
  • Support clients in active treatment programs by assisting with training objectives, recording progress, and helping achieve service goals.
  • Collaborate as a proactive member of the interdisciplinary team, communicating relevant client information as directed by supervisors.
  • Transport clients safely using company vehicles for appointments and community outings.
  • Accompany and supervise clients during community participation as well as school and day program activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to promote client well-being and program success.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hold a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • No prior experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
