Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Join the Operating Room team at North Alabama Medical Center, a 263-bed acute care facility committed to delivering high-quality surgical care to the communities we serve. Our OR team is made up of skilled nurses, surgical technologists, and perioperative professionals who work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. We support a wide range of surgical specialties and are dedicated to safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence. How you'll contribute

A Anesthesia Tech who excels in this role:

  • Provides support to anesthesia providers under the direction of an anesthesiologist or CRNA.
  • Maintains anesthesia supplies and anesthesia equipment.
  • Stocks all anesthesia supplies in the operating room, L&D, and all anesthesia supply rooms.
  • Maintains equipment as anesthesia machines, ventilators, cardiac monitors, fluid warmers, end-tidal CO2 and pulse oximeters.
  • Assists with patient care.
  • Verify and replenish medications, IV fluids, and disposables in compliance with hospital policy.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire
  • Handle with Care preferred
  • Requires Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak); ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

North Alabama Medical Center is a Certified Chest Pain center with a team of cardiologists available 24/7 and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence by the American Heart/American Stroke Association. North Alabama Medical Center’s 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.
