Certified Nurse Aide, CNA

Job Type: Full-Time | Days

Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts

Pay Range: $17.00 - $25.26 Per Hour

Joining our team means you’ll get to help to provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

How you'll contribute

A CNA who excels in this role:

  • Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
  • Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
  • Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
  • Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
  • Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
  • Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
  • Required Skills: Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a healthcare environment.
  • Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.
  • Licenses: Current VA state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
