The Role and Impact As a Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring Intel's manufacturing processes meet rigorous quality and reliability standards. You will lead efforts to qualify manufacturing ramps to high volume, develop inspection and testing processes, and conduct audits to validate compliance with industry benchmarks. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, address quality challenges, and optimize systems, contributing to Intel's pursuit of operational excellence.

Business group The Quality Systems Organization within Intel Foundry is focused on delivering world-class manufacturing quality and reliability. This group designs and implements robust quality frameworks, supports manufacturing scalability, and fosters a culture of proactive improvement. By ensuring dependable processes, the team plays a vital role in advancing Intel's mission to provide cutting-edge solutions to customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities - Lead the qualification of manufacturing ramps to high volume, ensuring adherence to quality and reliability standards. - Develop inspection protocols, testing mechanisms, and conduct audits to assess process compliance. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and strengthen operational efficiency. - Manage supplier audits, change control processes, and excursion events to uphold quality benchmarks. - Represent quality and reliability functions in product development forums, recommending process and system optimizations. - Design systems for early detection and containment of quality excursions and conduct risk assessments to mitigate concerns. - Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to evaluate manufacturing data and product performance. - Collaborate with customers to address reported manufacturing issues and provide engineering solutions that improve product reliability.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in quality and reliability engineering, manufacturing, or related domains; OR Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 2 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, DOE, regression modeling). - Experience with quality systems, supplier audit processes, and excursion management in manufacturing environments. - Familiarity with machine learning techniques for data analysis and decision-making. - Knowledge of materials, processes, and techniques used in high-volume manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams. - Demonstrated experience in driving process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. - Leadership experience in material review board (MRB) environments. - Dedication to fostering a quality-focused mindset and culture within manufacturing settings.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $140,830.00-198,820.00 USD
