Job Summary:

JOB DESCRIPTION – Intermediate Frontend Developer

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Division: Quicket

Contract Terms: Full-time

THE TEAM

You will join Quicket’s Engineering team, responsible for building and evolving the technology that powers seamless ticketing experiences for event organisers and fans. The team works closely with Product, UX/UI, Operations and wider Ticketmaster colleagues to deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions across web and mobile platforms.

As part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment, the team focuses on creating intuitive customer journeys, supporting high-demand live events and continuously improving the performance, accessibility and resilience of our products.

THE JOB

As an Intermediate Frontend Developer at Quicket, a Ticketmaster company, you will help build and enhance fast, scalable and intuitive digital experiences for fans and event organisers around the world. Quicket combines local market expertise with the scale, technology and global reach of Ticketmaster and Live Nation Entertainment.

Working primarily with Angular, you will develop high-quality web applications that are reliable, accessible and performant, particularly during high-demand event periods. You will work closely with senior engineers, Product and UX/UI teams to turn ideas and designs into secure, user-friendly solutions.

While this is a front-end-focused role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to backend development in .NET / .NET Core where needed. AI is an integral part of how we build software, and you will use AI-powered development tools in your everyday workflow to support design, coding, testing, code review and documentation. You will apply sound engineering judgement, validate AI-generated output and stay informed about emerging tools and practices that improve the quality and efficiency of our work.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using Angular.
  • Use AI tools (e.g. coding assistants, agents and LLM-based tooling) as a core part of your daily workflow to design, build, test, review and document code faster and to a higher standard.
  • Contribute to AI-powered product features where relevant, such as integrating LLM APIs into user-facing experiences.
  • Work closely with UX/UI/product teams to translate designs into accessible, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Integrate with backend services and RESTful APIs, and contribute to backend development (.NET / .NET Core) when required.
  • Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with PCI DSS and GDPR.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow front-end best practices, including the responsible use of AI-generated code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, and ensure vulnerabilities are managed in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated equivalent experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on front-end development using Angular.
  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools as an integral part of your development workflow.
  • Experience working on large-scale consumer-facing applications.
  • Knowledge of global compliance standards (PCI DSS, GDPR) is a plus.

KPIs & Performance Metrics

  • Code Quality: Maintain high standards with minimal defects.
  • Feature Delivery: Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Performance Optimisation: Ensure front-end responsiveness under load.
  • Security Compliance: Zero major compliance breaches.
  • Collaboration: Positive feedback from team and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning: Adoption of new technologies, AI tools and best practices.

Core Technical Skills (Required)

  • Angular – Strong, proven experience building complex, dynamic and responsive web applications (TypeScript, RxJS, component architecture, state management).
  • AI-assisted development – Deep, hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar) as a core part of your workflow, not an occasional add-on.
  • Strong understanding of how to work effectively with AI: prompting, providing context, reviewing and validating AI output, and knowing its limitations.
  • HTML, CSS/SCSS and modern front-end tooling, with a focus on performance and accessibility.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
  • Willingness to pick up and contribute to backend work as needed.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • .NET / .NET Core (C#) – Backend development experience.
  • React Native – Experience building or contributing to mobile applications.
  • AWS – Familiarity with cloud services and deployments.
  • MSSQL – Knowledge of database design and query optimisation.

YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Adaptability and willingness to step outside the front end when the team needs it.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak event periods.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
