The Global SRE team is responsible for supporting deployments of global products and providing first-line operational support. We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who is eager to learn modern SRE and cloud engineering practices while helping maintain reliable and scalable production systems.
This role is ideal for someone early in their SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering career who enjoys troubleshooting, automation, and working closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced global environment.
You will:
- Own and support the deployment of global products, including provisioning, configuring, and maintaining production and internal environments.
- Provide 24/7 first-line engineering support through a globally distributed follow-the-sun support model, ensuring timely incident response and resolution.
- Monitor and improve system health, availability, performance, and reliability through observability, alerting, and proactive operational practices.
- Independently troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions to reduce manual intervention, improve operational efficiency, and minimize human error.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, secure, and efficient software deployments.
- Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and repeatability.
- Support and optimize containerized workloads and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes.
- Identify and address reliability risks, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure scalability challenges.
- Contribute to incident management processes, post-incident reviews, operational runbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, DevOps, QE, Security, and Product teams to ensure production readiness and reliable product delivery.
- Drive improvements in operational excellence through automation, monitoring enhancements, and adoption of SRE best practices.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and production readiness assessments to ensure systems meet operational and reliability requirements.
- Share technical knowledge, contribute to engineering standards, and support the development of junior team members.
- Work closely with SRE team members and Engineering organizations based in California, Paris, Nantong, Singapore, Australia, and other global locations.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Production Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and production infrastructure operations.
- Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Practical experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages, with the ability to develop operational automation.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of incident management, troubleshooting methodologies, root cause analysis, and production support practices.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, high availability, scalability, and reliability engineering principles.
- Experience identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing automation or process improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with cross-functional and globally distributed engineering teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and provide operational support as part of a follow-the-sun model.
