The posting

Job Summary The Marine Logistics Coordinator provides 24-hour communication with customers and employees to schedule and dispatch on-call tankermen and dock operators to specific job sites. Coordinators enter data specific to each job into a computer program, monitor the projected vessel arrival time at the designated dock, and the select an appropriate tankerman or dock operator to meet the vessel and load or discharge the cargo. Coordinators also receive data from field personnel and enter information for payroll and billing purposes. Coordinators plan and coordinate to optimize work coverage. The job requires data entry, planning, communication, and problem solving. Coordinators also receive reports of incidents from field employees and initiate the appropriate company response including information entry into the incident reporting system. Job Requirements & Qualifications

Answer calls and emails from customers and assess their needs Proficiency in Loadstar Aegis software system Schedule and dispatch tankerman or dock operators to customer sites Provide exceptional customer service Understand requirements for specific barge customers and facilities Data entry, filing, and other clerical functions Communicate information necessary for turnover to shift relief Work as a team player and promote a positive culture with co-workers Performing other duties as assigned

Daily/majority of the day: sitting, computer work, screen time, keyboarding, typing, wrist flexing/extension and other repetitive movements Daily/consistent: Use of professional judgement in alignment with Company values and policies, ability to communicate effectively verbally and written, translate high level instructions into an executable process flow, and to complete medium to large projects with minimal assistance and supervision. Frequently: Learning new software applications and recalling important processes Occasionally: kneeling, standing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and lifting (up to 20 pounds)
