As a crucial member of the FP&A team at LogicMonitor, you are called upon to build complex analyses that will serve as the foundations for the LM team to make key strategic decisions. You will refine and master an ability to take vague business issues and abstract ideas into concrete, refined, and clear analyses that you'll then use to provide insights that frame business decisions and drive value creation. With a methodical, critically thinking, and numbers oriented mind - you'll be viewed as a key liaison with the functional teams.

You'll resolve issues related to forecasting, planning, resource prioritization and business performance, and you help translate analyses into easy-to-consume KPIs and presentations. Beyond rolling up the data accurately, you will look to validate the numbers by understanding the “story” behind them, performing variance analysis as well as developing and continuously refining insightful dashboards and presentations.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Collaborate closely with GTM operation team to ensure one single source of truth when it comes to financial KPIs
  • Support the development, build-out, and reporting of key Marketing metrics including pipeline generated, open pipeline conversion, pipeline/program spend
  • Present financial data and analytics to an executive audience with clear recommendations that influence business decisions
  • Contextually understand financial data and modeling outputs, identifying gaps and creating solutions to address those gaps proactively
  • Support quarterly forecast and Annual Operating Plan processes, which include working closely with business partners to build highly detailed operating models and plans
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on strategic projects
  • Define and manage real-time tracking of KPIs to ensure resources are efficiently allocated and aligned in support of annual operating plan and long term value creation thesis
  • Proactively highlight opportunities for process improvements
  • Prepare and maintain various complex financial models (i.e. What-if analysis) to support strategic initiative decision-making
  • Gain an intimate knowledge of LogicMonitor’s business systems stack to support long term scale of the FP&A function, including becoming a subject matter expert at LM’s Pigment and PowerBI platforms to support efficient forecasting, reporting, and dashboard generation

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, equity research, management consulting, accounting, and/or high growth enterprise SaaS
  • A Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics)
  • Prior experience supporting Sales and/or Marketing from an FP&A perspective in a SaaS company is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS KPIs such as LTV:CAC, pipeline conversion metrics, cost per opportunity, or pipeline to spend ratios
  • SQL skills highly preferred
  • Ability to present to CFO, VP finance and GTM leadership on investment proposals and outcomes
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a “get-it-done” attitude
  • An ability to develop and cultivate relationships with ease, and can have the nuanced ability to balance high level thinking with detail oriented execution is highly desirable
  • Ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment to ensure key deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Efficient with managing tasks that require collaboration with stakeholders in different time zones

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Your strong ability to cultivate relationships and provide critical thought leadership along with a sharp analytical and modeling mindset will be paramount in key decision making and driving the business forward, both at a tactical and strategic level.
  • You thrive when learning, networking with peers, representing your team or company in your external interactions.
  • Ability to be highly productive with little oversight on day to day basis. A self starter attitude and intellectual curiosity are key to success.
  • Structured thinking: Develop and leverage frameworks to help structure the team’s thinking and identify the 80/20 opportunities to reach insightful, actionable answers without boiling the ocean with analysis overload.
  • High-energy, company first, positive attitude: Must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment.
  • Established strong analysis and presentation skills: Quick and high quality analysis and presentation creation using advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Positive attitude with a can-do, service-oriented mentality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
