Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Director, Strategic Sourcing Facilities - Healthcare working in our Center of Excellence (CoE) team. You will own Facilities strategy planning and strategic sourcing delivery for a defined group of assigned accounts within the Healthcare sub-vertical, ensuring business continuity, cost savings delivery, and adherence to project timelines. Partnering with account-dedicated category leads, you will support Facilities strategy planning for new accounts and refresh existing-account roadmaps, translating opportunities into prioritized initiatives with defined scope, savings objectives, milestones, and resource requirements. Account plans and delivery commitments will align with the Senior Director's sub-vertical strategy. You will manage a team of sourcing professionals while maintaining direct ownership of strategic sourcing project delivery, including sourcing strategy development, end-to-end RFP execution, supplier negotiations, and support for client award decisions and contracting. Working directly with relevant client stakeholders, you will ensure high-quality service delivery and support team development through training, mentoring, and quality assurance. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing Facilities - Healthcare.

Responsibilities:

Assigned-account ownership and strategy

  • Own Facilities strategy planning and sourcing delivery for an assigned group of Healthcare accounts under the Senior Director, aligning account roadmaps with the overall sub-vertical strategy.
  • Partner with account-dedicated category leads on Facilities strategy planning for new accounts and refresh existing-account roadmaps, translating opportunities into prioritized initiatives with defined scope, savings objectives, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Maintain and review assigned-account roadmaps with category leads and the Senior Director, communicating initiative priorities, milestones, savings progress, and delivery risks.

People management and team leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of sourcing professionals supporting assigned Healthcare accounts to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Support team strategy development, training, mentoring, and quality assurance across assigned sourcing engagements.
  • Manage project assignments and workloads within the team supporting assigned accounts; coordinate resource requirements and capacity gaps with the Senior Director, who retains overall sub-vertical resource prioritization.

Strategic sourcing and project delivery

  • Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies that deliver measurable results for assigned Healthcare accounts across Facilities categories, including HVAC, Janitorial/EVS, Waste Management, Safety & Security Services, Utilities, and Skilled Trades, among others.
  • Engage directly with account-dedicated category leads and client stakeholders to identify category-specific priorities and challenges, then develop sourcing strategies that effectively address those objectives.
  • Assume full ownership of the end-to-end RFP process, including data gathering, RFP development and execution, proposal evaluation, supplier negotiations, results presentation, and support for client award decisions and supplier/client contracting.
  • Lead evaluations of supplier proposals by applying total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling.
  • Develop and implement innovative cost-reduction strategies that extend beyond unit price negotiations, including value engineering and demand optimization initiatives.
  • Lead research and analytics efforts to validate savings projections and enable more precise supplier negotiations.
  • Monitor and analyze spend, supplier performance, and savings targets at the category and sub-category levels.

Client and supplier engagement

  • Provide first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Perform necessary supplier research to stay informed of changing market trends and supplier capabilities.
  • Facilitate communication between client business units and suppliers to ensure effective category execution and delivery.
  • Build and manage best-in-class supplier ecosystems by category and region.
  • Review major contracts and act as a subject matter expert for complex negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all organizational levels, including C-suite partnership.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing with deep expertise in Facilities categories.
  • Proven experience developing sourcing strategies for complex Facilities categories and leading large-scale sourcing events.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiations.
  • Prior experience interfacing with clients and/or stakeholders at all organizational levels, especially within a services industry (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, managed services, outsourcing).
  • Demonstrated expertise in TCO modeling and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience driving change management and building cross-functional consensus.
  • Experience identifying and implementing value engineering and spec optimization recommendations to reduce total cost without sacrificing quality.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel (analysis) and PowerPoint (presentations).
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into business recommendations.
  • Strong leadership, people-management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
