Join the 2025 AIA Firm Award Winner https://www.aia.org/about-aia/press/lpa-design-studios-receives-2025-aia-architecture-firm-award shaping a more sustainable future.

LPA is a collective of designers, engineers, and researchers committed to tackling the biggest issues of our time. Our "No Excuses" integrated design approach was recognized by the AIA as “a trailblazer in sustainable, high-performance architecture". At LPA you’ll be part of the team that is changing the way the industry thinks about design and carbon emissions, built around the belief that we only achieve our goals when everybody has a seat at the table and all input is valued.

We’re currently seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to help build and establish LPA’s Learning & Development function and shape learning experiences that support the growth of our people and the evolving needs of our practice. This role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of learning programs while creating engaging content and resources that help our team members grow and develop. Working closely with the Learning & Development team, business leaders, and subject matter experts, this person will play an important role in creating organized, accessible, and meaningful learning experiences across the firm.

We’re looking for a creative thinker as much as a project coordinator. Someone who brings curiosity, organization, and initiative to their work and enjoys turning ideas into engaging learning experiences. This person should be comfortable managing multiple projects, collaborating with others, and finding creative ways to communicate information and make learning approachable and relevant. As new technologies, tools, and ways of working continue to evolve, we're looking for someone who is excited to learn, experiment with new approaches, and help create a culture where continuous learning, exploration, and skill development are part of how we work.

Learning Strategy & Partnership

- Coordinate the planning, development, and execution of learning and development programs, workshops, and initiatives across the firm.

- Manage project timelines, schedules, deliverables, and communications to help ensure learning initiatives stay organized and on track.

- Support multiple learning projects simultaneously, tracking progress, identifying next steps, and following up with stakeholders.

- Coordinate logistics for learning events, including scheduling, registration, materials, communications, and participant engagement.

- Collaborate with internal teams, business leaders, and subject matter experts to gather information, coordinate activities, and support program development.

- Help develop and maintain processes, templates, and resources that create consistency and efficiency across learning initiatives.

Learning Content Creation & Development

- Create engaging learning materials, including presentations, participant guides, workbooks, job aids, digital resources, and other educational content.

- Partner with subject matter experts to organize and translate information into clear, approachable, and visually engaging learning resources.

- Support the development of instructor-led, self-guided, virtual, and digital learning experiences.

- Develop and edit written and visual content that communicates learning objectives, key concepts, and practical applications.

- Adapt existing content for different audiences, learning formats, and delivery methods.

- Maintain and update learning materials to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and accessible.

Learning Experience and Program Support

- Support the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and other learning experiences, including preparing materials, coordinating participants, and assisting facilitators.

- Help create engaging and interactive learning experiences that encourage participation, curiosity, and knowledge sharing.

- Develop program communications, invitations, announcements, and follow-up resources that encourage employee participation.

- Collaborate with internal teams to support onboarding, professional development, leadership development, and other learning initiatives.

- Assist with the coordination of external learning partners, instructors, and vendors.

Requirements:

- 4+ years of experience in Learning & Development, experience in learning and development, project coordination, training, content creation, communications, or a related field.

- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, manage timelines, and follow through on details.

- Experience creating engaging presentations, written materials, digital content, or other educational and communication resources.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize information and communicate ideas clearly and creatively.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and comfort learning new digital tools and platforms.

- A creative mindset with an interest in visual communication, content development, and designing engaging learning experiences.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.

- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, including AI and emerging digital tools.

- Bachelor's degree in education, communications, business, human resources, instructional design, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.

- Experience with learning management systems, digital learning platforms, or content creation tools is a plus; experience with Absorb is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
