About Lucid

At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.

We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.

About the Team

The Logistics team keeps materials, equipment, and vehicles moving safely and efficiently across Lucid’s manufacturing and support network. The team partners with Production, Engineering, Warehousing, Testing, and supplier-facing groups to maintain reliable material flow and minimize operational disruption. Team members combine hands-on transportation expertise with disciplined request management, real-time communication, and a strong commitment to safety. The environment is collaborative and fast-moving, with shared accountability for service levels, asset protection, and production continuity.

About the Role

The Lead Logistics Driver is a lead-level individual contributor who reports to a Logistics Manager. This role exists to coordinate daily driver workload while safely executing high-priority transportation and material-movement requests across company facilities and external locations. In the first 12 months, this person will establish consistent request prioritization, improve visibility into service levels and transportation risks, and help the team meet delivery commitments without compromising safety or asset protection. Success will be measured through reliable completion of requests, accurate status reporting, adherence to transportation and safety requirements, and timely escalation of constraints. Unlike a comparable driving role, this position combines commercial driving and material-handling responsibilities with operational leadership, Jira-based workload coordination, performance reporting, and cross-functional decision-making in an automotive manufacturing environment.

What You Own

  • Workload Prioritization: Coordinate the team’s Jira queue, assign and reprioritize transportation requests, and make day-to-day sequencing decisions that protect production continuity and service commitments.
  • Transportation Execution: Complete scheduled and on-demand moves between company facilities and external locations, ensuring materials, equipment, battery packs, vehicles, and other company assets arrive safely and on time.
  • Service Performance: Monitor and report request progress, constraints, service-level adherence, ticket aging, backlog, and time-to-resolution trends, and recommend corrective actions when performance is at risk.
  • Safety Compliance: Make go/no-go decisions based on shipment readiness, load securement, vehicle condition, route conditions, and regulatory requirements, and stop or escalate work when safe execution cannot be assured.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Provide clear status updates, estimated arrival times, route changes, and delivery risks to Logistics leadership and internal customers so they can make informed operating decisions.
  • Asset Protection: Oversee safe loading, handling, transport, and unloading practices and drive resolution of issues that could result in damage, loss, or operational disruption.
  • Operational Improvement: Use approved routing, telematics, and logistics tools to identify opportunities to reduce delays, fuel use, repeat requests, and avoidable operating costs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, delivery operations, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License required for the class of company vehicle assigned to this role.
  • Experience using Jira or another ticket-based workflow system, including familiarity with service-level agreements, backlog, ticket aging, and time-to-resolution metrics.
  • Experience safely operating commercial vehicles and material-handling equipment relevant to the assignment.
  • Ability to use digital tools to manage work requests, maintain records, review operational metrics, and communicate across teams.
  • Experience working with HazMat and dangerous goods in manufacturing
  • Knowledge in DOT compliance
  • Experience operating semi-trucks or tractor-trailers, box trucks, cargo vans, forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Experience coordinating daily workload or providing lead support to drivers, material handlers, or logistics team members.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment.
  • Driving: Ability to sit and drive for extended periods while maintaining situational awareness and safe driving practices.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands to handle tools, secure loads, operate equipment, and complete material-handling tasks.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above the shoulders, bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing steps as required to complete assigned work.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work safely indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, weather, traffic conditions, and proximity to powered industrial equipment.
  • PPE Expectations: Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety footwear, gloves, protective sleeves, and eye and hearing protection, in accordance with company standards.

Daily in-person presence is required, with local travel between company facilities and external locations based on operational needs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
