This role manages and develops a team of SAP functional professionals, establishes solution and delivery standards, and partners with leaders across Sales Operations, Customer Service, Field Service, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain. The manager is accountable for translating business priorities into a scalable product roadmap, governing architecture and integrations across SAP S/4HANA and connected platforms such as Salesforce, CPQ, DMS, MES, PLM, and middleware solutions, and ensuring reliable delivery, adoption, and operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities

Solution Strategy, Architecture & Team Leadership

· Lead, coach, and develop a team of SAP functional leads and analysts responsible for GTM capabilities across Order-to-Cash, Sales, Service, and adjacent business processes.

· Own the SAP GTM solution roadmap and translate business strategy, operational priorities, and regulatory needs into sequenced initiatives, investment requirements, and measurable outcomes.

· Establish architecture and design governance for SAP S/4HANA solutions covering sales orders, deliveries, pricing, credit management, billing, service contracts, warranty, field service, repairs, and related master data.

· Partner with cross-functional leaders in Sales, Remarketing, Service, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT to align requirements, resolve trade-offs, and secure timely decisions.

· Define functional standards, design principles, documentation expectations, and reusable solution patterns to improve quality, consistency, and maintainability.

Delivery & Execution

· Accountable for end-to-end delivery of the SAP GTM portfolio, including scope, roadmap, budget, resource planning, dependencies, risks, quality, and business outcomes.

· Direct solution design and configuration activities across SAP S/4HANA SD and related modules, ensuring designs meet enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and supportability standards.

· Coordinate functional leads, architects, developers, integration teams, data teams, testing teams, and business process owners to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.

· Oversee functional specifications and delivery of RICEFW objects, integrations, conversions, workflows, and Fiori experiences; ensure requirements are traceable through design, build, testing, and deployment.

· Establish delivery governance, status reporting, decision forums, release readiness criteria, and escalation paths; communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.

· Manage implementation partners and vendors, including capacity planning, deliverable quality, financial performance, adherence to standards, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

· Own testing strategy, User Acceptance Testing, cutover readiness, data migration oversight, deployment, hypercare, and transition to steady-state support.

· Define and monitor service levels, operational metrics, controls, and support processes to maintain stable and reliable GTM operations.

Optimization & Modernization

· Build a continuous-improvement roadmap using SAP Fiori, workflow automation, analytics, and emerging capabilities to simplify work and improve the user experience.

· Use business and operational metrics to identify process bottlenecks, control gaps, recurring support issues, and opportunities across quote-to-cash, sales, service, warranty, and parts lifecycles.

· Partner with business leaders to define value cases, adoption plans, success measures, and benefit realization for major investments and process changes.

· Shape S/4HANA upgrade, cloud, and RISE with SAP roadmaps while balancing innovation, technical debt, business continuity, cost, and organizational readiness.

· Maintain awareness of SAP product direction and relevant GTM technology trends, recommending practical innovations that align with enterprise strategy.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
