About Lucid

At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.

We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Staff CAD / PLM Engineer (Tools & Methods) to lead the architecture, standardization, and evolution of our enterprise CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ecosystem.

In this role, you will be the technical authority defining how vehicle engineering data is created, governed, and integrated across enterprise systems. You will lead the transition to next-generation platforms (Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE), drive seamless data interfaces with SAP ERP (iPPE), author enterprise-level MCAD exchange standards, and build robust MBSE/Requirements traceability workflows from initial systems architecture down to production manufacturing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

1. 3DEXPERIENCE Platform Architecture & Evolution • Lead technical workstreams for major enterprise platform upgrades (e.g., 3DEXPERIENCE 2026x), defining validation scenarios, managing lower environments, and resolving blocked actions. • Architect and maintain default enterprise workspace structures, ENOVIA dashboard frameworks, and SWYM community access models. • Partner with enterprise IT and PLM development teams to define and refine the 3DX – SAP BOM interface (Phase 2 / iPPE), establishing single-source-of-truth data governance for engineering release timelines and revision controls.

2. CAD Methods, Tooling & Start Part Standardization • Own and standardize enterprise-wide CAD Start Parts (Sheet Metal, Plastic A-side WIP, Castings/Machining WIP), integrating standard datum schemes, Power Copies, part markings, and manufacturing info styling (GCPs, parting lines). • Develop advanced modeling methodologies for complex disciplines, including electrical wire harness integration (deformable/flattened models, suffix configurations) and captive fasteners (Parts-In-Assembly / PIA) with torque attributes. • Define and automate Digital Mock-Up (DMU) clash analysis and space-claim verification using configuration-driven vehicle packaging tools.

3. MCAD Data Exchange & Supplier Governance • Author, maintain, and enforce enterprise MCAD Data Exchange Standards governing 3D model and 2D drawing exchange between Lucid and Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers. • Establish Product Data Quality (PDQ) thresholds, geometry quality check profiles (e.g., LCQC/Q-Checker), naming conventions, and formal unit exception workflows.

4. Requirements Management & MBSE Traceability • Drive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and UAT execution for linking 3DX Requirements (TRM) to Technical Product Documentation (TPD). • Operationalize Requirements, Functional, Logical, and Physical (RFLP) workflows and one-way synchronizations between Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo / No Magic) and 3DX.

5. Technical Leadership, Community Enablement & Tier-3 Support • Lead the monthly 3DX Champions / Super-User Forums, presenting on tool deployments, automated drawing rollouts (LADS), and emerging AI-assisted CAD tools. • Serve as the senior escalation point (Tier-3) for complex CAD modeling bottlenecks, geometry issues, and PLM workflow blockers. • Manage and prioritize feature requests, bugs, and development backlogs in Jira (Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria).

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience: 8+ years of dedicated experience in CAD/PLM systems engineering, tools & methods, or CAD quality administration within the Automotive, Aerospace, or High-Tech Manufacturing industries.

• Dassault Systèmes Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in 3DEXPERIENCE (CATIA V6, ENOVIA, TRM/RFLP, DMU), including native client administration, Power Copies, and template development.

• Enterprise Integration: Direct experience with PLM-to-ERP integrations, particularly SAP iPPE (Integrated Product and Process Engineering) and engineering bill of materials (eBOM / mBOM) lifecycles.

• Standards Authoring: Proven track record authoring enterprise engineering specifications, ASME Y14.5 / ISO geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) guidelines, and MCAD supplier data protocols.

• Requirements & MBSE: Working knowledge of MBSE methodologies, Cameo/SysML modeling, and traceability to physical engineering releases.

Preferred: • Hands-on scripting and automation capabilities (Python, EKL / Enterprise Knowledge Language, CAA, CATScript, or REST APIs). • Experience with automated drawing generation (LADS) and AI-assisted engineering agents. • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
