Forklift Operator

THE LUMBER MANUFACTORY (TLM) IS BUILDING THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE LUMBER WITH NEXT-GENERATION SAWMILL TECHNOLOGY. WE DESIGN AND OPERATE STATE-OF-THE-ART MODULAR SAWMILLS THAT PRODUCE HIGH-GRADE DIMENSIONAL WOOD PRODUCTS WITH GREATER EFFICIENCY AND LESS WASTE. We're hiring Forklift Operators to move logs, lumber, and supplies around our New Albany mill, yard, and warehouse. You'll keep production supplied and finished lumber organized, and you'll do it safely. Already certified? Great. If not, we'll train and certify you.

What you'll do

- Safely operate forklifts across the mill, yard, and warehouse

- Move and stack raw materials and finished lumber so it's secure and easy to find

- Keep production lines supplied and on schedule

- Do daily equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety concerns

- Keep your areas clean and organized

What we're looking for

- Forklift, material handling, or warehouse experience is a plus

- Safety comes first for you, and you speak up about hazards

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work outdoors in all weather

- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the mill

- Able to pass a background check

Schedule and pay: Full-time. Multiple shifts available, including days. We'll talk through what works for you during your interview. Starting pay $16+/hr, with a raise after your first 30 days. Training and forklift certification provided.

Location: On site at our mill in New Albany, Mississippi.
