The posting

Join our team as a DevOps Engineer!

Yes, you can! That's our attitude towards our work, ambitions, ideas, and relationships. We at Luminor believe that anyone has the potential to achieve big things and encourage everyone to achieve them, professionally and personally.

Whoever you are and whatever your role is, with Luminor, you will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a local banking champion.

As a DevOps Engineer in Engineering Core Platform Department, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and operational excellence of the infrastructure and platforms that support critical banking services across the organization. You will combine cloud infrastructure, automation, platform operations, and observability expertise to build resilient systems, streamline operational processes, and support a stable and secure technology environment.

Working closely with engineers, architects, and technology teams, you will champion DevOps best practices, enhance platform reliability and performance, and help foster a culture of operational excellence.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions on AWS using Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices
  • Manage and continuously improve cloud networking, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities to ensure platform reliability and compliance
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform and Terragrunt modules that enable consistent and efficient multi-environment deployments
  • Administer and optimize Linux-based environments, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), while driving automation and operational efficiency
  • Operate, support, and enhance monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions, creating actionable dashboards and insights that enable proactive issue detection and resolution
  • Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve platform stability, resilience, and service continuity

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Proven experience in a senior DevOps, Platform Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar role, supporting large-scale or business-critical systems
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, VPCs, public and private subnets, route tables, internet and NAT gateways, security groups, network ACLs, IAM, load balancing, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and secure connectivity
  • Strong practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt, including reusable modules, environment composition, dependency management, and consistent multi-environment deployments
  • Experience with configuration management solutions. Experience with Chef is preferred, while equivalent tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack are also considered valuable
  • Strong experience administering Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), with advanced automation and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience operating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and supporting automated infrastructure and application deployments
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar technologies
  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience designing and operating highly available, resilient, and disaster recovery-ready services, with a strong focus on operational stability and service continuity
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell, with a focus on automation and operational tooling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to participate in the on-call rotation according to the agreed rota calendar
  • Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on Pan-Baltic level

Would Be Considered an Advantage:

  • Experience with Chef, including recipe, cookbook, or infrastructure automation development
  • Experience with Ruby, particularly in relation to Chef-based automation and configuration management
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and Oracle-based solutions
  • Experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE-related environments, integrations, or operational processes
  • Experience supporting AWS hybrid connectivity and complex multi-environment operations
  • Experience with Oracle database backup, recovery, and performance management
  • Familiarity with banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience with service management, operational management, and incident management practices

Willingness to expand knowledge in Oracle Data Base is considered as a big plus.

Why You Will Love Working Here:

  • Flexibility. Flexible working hours, Hybrid work, and the possibility to work from anywhere in the EU, Iceland, Switzerland, and the UK (in total 90 days per year)
  • International teams. Teams that go outside Pan-Baltic borders, where people value challenging work together with good humor and having fun
  • Culture. You’ll be joining a team where things move fast, ideas flow freely, and change is part of the everyday. It’s a dynamic environment that keeps you learning, growing, and never bored

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
