Casual rates starting at $38 per hour.

This is a casual position and we are offering a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus (to be paid throughout the first year of employment).

Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community based-health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania.

Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty.

The RN is responsible for the overall care of the residents within the household. The RN assesses human response and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care. This position is responsible for all associated and clinical activities, participating in staff and resident scheduling, and assists, in the supervision and counseling of Nurse Aides, Caregivers and/or Caregiver MedTechs. Always functions within the limit of the Pennsylvania State Professional Standards Title 49 Chapter.

Casual Clinical Program Guidelines:

  • Staff are required to work a minimum of 16 hours of weekend shift each month. These hours may be worked in 1 weekend or multiple weekends each month, depending on employee availability and scheduling needs.
  • Staff must work 1 summer and 1 winter holiday each calendar year.
  • Staff must have 6 months minimum experience working in a full time or part time capacity in their clinical role.
  • Staff must be fully proficient in their skills and able to work on any unit/neighborhood with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse RN qualifications include:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possesses a current Registered Nurse license, in good standing, from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
