Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic – Night Shift   Alaska Marine Trucking, part of the Lynden family of companies, is looking to hire energetic, adventurous, and hard-working individuals like you to join our team.   If you are looking for an exciting and fast-paced career that is both challenging and rewarding, Alaska Marine Trucking is where you want to be!   We currently have an opening for a Mechanic in Juneau, Alaska. This is a full-time position offering family-friendly benefits, a competitive pay package, professional growth opportunities, and ample overtime. The night shift hours are 3:00pm to 3:00am Monday through Thursday and include a $3.00/hr. shift differential.   What You Will Be Doing

Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, ie: tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc. Assist with major component swaps like hydraulic pumps, engines and transmissions. Must be able to apply and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card). Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

  To succeed in this role, you will need these skills:

Carry out all duties with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Ability to show up to work on time and ready to work. Detail oriented, good communications and interpersonal skills and good organizational skills.

And these qualifications:

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50-pound objects and is occasionally required to lift as much as 100-pound objects. Ability to travel for short periods of time and able to work in outside weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts.  The employee is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet, and/or humid conditions and occasionally works in high, precarious places.
