About the Role:

The Sr. Director, People Solutions leads the technology, data, and operational backbone of the People function. This leader owns three connected areas: our HR systems (Workday and the applicant tracking system), People Analytics, and People Operations. The goal is a seamless employee and manager experience, reliable data, and insights that inform business decisions.

You will set the strategy and roadmap for People technology, build a culture of data-driven decision-making, and ensure core HR processes run accurately, compliantly, and efficiently as the company scales. This is a key role and thought partner to the CPO and the People leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and governance for Workday HCM (and any additional modules such as Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, Learning, or Absence) and the ATS.
  • Lead system configuration, releases, and optimization, including Workday’s twice-yearly releases, testing, change management, and communications.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, Security, and Legal on integrations, data privacy, access controls, audit readiness, and SOX or other compliance requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, and performance, and evaluate new tools in the HR tech ecosystem.
  • Drive adoption and user experience improvements through automation, self-service, and process simplification.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for utilizing AI tools to enable the People team.
  • Build and lead the People Analytics function: workforce planning, headcount and attrition reporting, DEI metrics, engagement and talent analytics, compensation analysis, and recruiting funnel metrics.
  • Establish a single source of truth for People data, with clear definitions, data quality standards, and governance.
  • Deliver dashboards and executive-level reporting that translate data into actionable insights for the CPO, executive team, and Board.
  • Develop predictive and advanced analytics capabilities, such as retention risk and workforce modeling, as the organization matures.
  • Oversee core People Ops processes: onboarding and offboarding, employee lifecycle transactions, HR data administration, employment verification, immigration and mobility support (as applicable), and policy administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international employment regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Define and monitor service levels, case management, and continuous improvement for the People service model.
  • Standardize and scale processes to support growth, acquisitions, and organizational change.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team across systems, analytics, and operations.
  • Serve as a member of the People leadership team, contributing to enterprise People strategy, planning, and budgeting.
  • Build strong partnerships across the People Team and other Corporate functions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, HR technology, People analytics, or related areas, including 5+ years leading teams.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Workday HCM, including configuration, reporting, security, and release management.
  • Experience managing an ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Workday Recruiting) and its integrations.
  • Demonstrated success building analytics capabilities and presenting insights to senior executives.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, employment compliance, and data privacy requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage large cross-functional projects, vendors, and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certification(s) or equivalent depth of experience.
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Workday Prism, Visier) and working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience scaling People Operations/HRIS in a high-growth or multi-country environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (SHRM, HRCI) a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
