The posting

The Regional Manager (RM) owns regional-level operations and the quality of programme implementation across the programme's districts and blocks. The RM manages the District Managers and, through them, the Outcome Associates, and is accountable for the programme running on the ground as designed — school entry, trainings, observation and coaching cycles, assessments and reviews — while adapting to local realities. In the pre-implementation phase the RM supports the Senior Manager on state-level planning and approvals, hires the District Managers and Associates, and secures district permissions, and continues to provide state-level support whenever the programme needs it. The RM reports to the Senior Manager, FLIP Meghalaya, or the Programme Anchors. The Job Description In this role, some of your responsibilities will include: 1. State Coordination and Programme Set-up (Pre-implementation) Before school visits begin, support with state-level coordination, and thereafter whenever needed: maintain regular touchpoints with State Education Department officials, the State Project Director (Samagra Shiksha), the Commissioner & Secretary and the SCERT team for programme planning, calendar alignment and approvals. Follow through on the state endorsement letter, the MoU and the Department letter establishing the THB as the teaching plan, and ensure each approval reaches the district offices before field entry and securing necessary budget through drafting the PAB. Lead hiring and onboarding of the District Managers and Outcome Associates: draft requisitions, screen and interview with the Senior Manager / Programme Anchors and the People team, allocate Associates to blocks by language (Garo / Khasi), and run the structured orientation on the FLIP model, CRO tool and coaching conversation. Secure district-level permission: brief the DSEO and DEO in each programme district on the programme. 2. Regional Operations and Project Management Lead planning and implementation across the programme districts, ensuring alignment with the FLIP Meghalaya five-year design and the annual implementation plan. Translate the programme strategy into actionable district- and block-level goals, calendars and systems for the District Managers and Associates. Monitor progress against the programme indicators and recommend course corrections promptly. Plan and execute district- and block-level teacher trainings, with training content and facilitators routed through the Senior Manager / Programme Anchors: venue, dates aligned to the block calendar, teacher and CRC invitations through the BEO, and block-trainer participation. Prepare the regional action plan and conduct review meetings with block and district officials. 3. Team Leadership and Capacity Building Manage the District Managers and, through them, the Outcome Associates: set termly targets, track visit, call and data-submission completion, and provide real-time support where completion drops. Plan and allocate resources for effective implementation — Associate-to-block and school assignment, travel plans, training materials and THB/SWB logistics, assessment enumerator support — and re-balance caseloads when an Associate is absent or a block is under-covered. Conduct regular review meetings with the District Managers and Outcome Associates, including CRO calibration so that all Associates score classroom practice the same way. Build a culture of accountability, reflection and innovation; facilitate structured learning reviews after each term and training round. Identify and build capacity of District Managers and Associates who can co-facilitate training with block-level trainers in later years; hold the staff exit protocol (documented handover, timely replacement). 4. Stakeholder Engagement (District and Block) Secure and maintain block-level entry — BEO, BMC and CRC orientation, school lists, calendars and CRC participation in training and joint visits. Ensure the monthly programme review with block and district officials (BEOs, DEOs, DSEOs); brief incoming officials promptly after transfer. Ensure CRC readiness for the Year 2 plan — CRCs trained, joining joint visits and progressing to independent observation and coaching, with the quarterly CRC/BMC review in place. Support the District Managers in managing escalations with block and district leadership; represent Madhi at district review forums and support the Senior Manager at state-level forums whenever needed. 5. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Consolidate data and insights from all programme districts and blocks into the monthly programme report to the Senior Manager / Programme Anchors; review the programme dashboards weekly for critical indicators. Support baseline, midline and endline in the field — enumerator logistics, Associate co-observation, comparison-block protection — with assessment design and data questions routed to the DAPM team through the Senior Manager / Programme Anchors. Document and disseminate systemic insights — what moved practice, what did not — for internal learning and for district presentations. 6. Implementation Quality and Operations Ensure consistency and quality of programme delivery across all districts and blocks: the school visit protocol, additional support for low-performing teachers, phone coaching, weekly teacher contact, reading melas and attendance tracking. Coordinate THB/SWB distribution, feedback collection after every visit, training logistics and raising all requests to the Academic, CB and Tech teams through the Senior Manager or the Programme Anchors. Surface regional operational risks — visit completion, CRC disengagement, material delays, data lag — and resolve them proactively. You will thrive in this role if you: Have a proven ability to lead multi-district, geographically distributed field teams through District Managers. Have strong experience in government partnerships at district and block level — DSEOs, BEOs, BMCs and CRCs — and can support state-level engagement whenever needed. Have hired and onboarded field teams and can do so again in a new geography within a tight window. Have excellent data literacy and act on dashboard insights within the week. Can hold both regional strategy and detail of implementation. Are comfortable managing upward to the Senior Manager / Programme Anchors and downward to District Managers and Associates at the same time. Are willing to travel across districts and blocks in Meghalaya every week. Work experience includes: Master's degree (Education, Development Studies, Social Work, Management or related field). 5–8 years of experience, with at least 3 years in managerial roles managing field teams. Prior experience in education reform, government collaboration or large-scale programme delivery; experience in North-East India is an advantage. Fluency in English; working ability in Garo or Khasi strongly preferred. Regular travel to programme districts, blocks, schools is part of the role. Other Details: You will be expected to bring your own laptop with updated software (MS Office 2016).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
