Wil jij werken op het kruispunt van data science, artificiële intelligentie en operationele processen?

Voor een logistieke wereldspeler zoek ik een Data Scientist die wil meebouwen aan innovatieve analytics- en AI-oplossingen binnen het data- en analytics team van onze klant.

Als Data Scientist speel je een belangrijke rol in het vertalen van operationele data naar concrete inzichten en slimme oplossingen. Je helpt mee om logistieke flows/prestaties te optimaliseren, de veiligheid te verhogen en datagedreven besluitvorming te ondersteunen.

Je identificeert opportuniteiten voor machine learning en AI en ontwikkelt onder andere voorspellende modellen, optimalisatiealgoritmen en AI-gedreven toepassingen. Je analyseert complexe datasets, test en optimaliseert modellen en vertaalt de resultaten naar concrete, onderbouwde aanbevelingen. Daarnaast ontwikkel je prototypes en proof-of-concepts om nieuwe ideeën en technologieën in de praktijk te brengen.

Een toonaangevende logistieke omgeving die volop inzet op digitalisering en innovatie. Je komt terecht in een context waar operationele uitdagingen en geavanceerde data- en AI-technologie samenkomen.

Je werkt nauw samen met operationele experts, business stakeholders, data-analisten en data-engineers om analytische oplossingen succesvol te ontwikkelen en te implementeren. Je krijgt de kans om impact te maken op de verdere inzet van data science, machine learning en AI binnen de logistieke activiteiten.

Profiel

  • Je hebt een masterdiploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistiek, Wiskunde, AI, Engineering of gelijkwaardig door relevante werkervaring
  • Je hebt minstens 3 jaar ervaring in data science en machine learning, met een sterke kennis van Python en SQL
  • Je hebt ervaring met machine learning, predictive analytics, forecasting en optimalisatiealgoritmen
  • Je bent vertrouwd met exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, modelevaluatie en explainability
  • Je hebt ervaring met cloud based data platforms en bij voorkeur met Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Data Lake Storage en Azure SQL
  • Pluspunten: kennis van data visualisatie en storytelling met Power BI, Tableau of gelijkaardige tools, ervaring met Git, Azure DevOps en MLOps
  • Kennis van Generative AI, LLM's, RAG, spatial data analytics of AI-ondersteunde bedrijfsprocessen is een extra troef
  • Je bent analytisch, proactief en oplossingsgericht. Je denkt kritisch na over complexe vraagstukken en vertaalt data naar bruikbare inzichten
  • Je spreekt en schrijft vlot Nederlands en Engels
