District Manager, Northeast & Station Manager, Canada

About the Role

We are looking for a District Manager to lead our Airfreight operations across the Northeast district while also carrying responsibility for Station Manager activities in Canada. You will provide fiscal oversight, strategic direction, and operational leadership, ensuring our Air products and services deliver profitable growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a strong customer experience.

This is a broad leadership position with responsibility for developing the Northeast Airfreight operating model, including operations serving JFK, EWR, BOS, PHL, and other major airport destinations. • Opportunities for professional development and career progression within a global supply chain organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the fiscal and operational performance of the district and Canada station, including Airfreight P&L, budgets, revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
  • Develop and execute the district Air strategy, translating growth ambitions into measurable station-level priorities and performance indicators.
  • Oversee day-to-day Airfreight operations, ensuring service quality, productivity, safety, contractual compliance, and adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and Maersk policies.
  • Build a robust Northeast Airfreight network, including operations serving JFK, EWR, BOS, PHL, gateways, Air Operations Centers, and other strategic airport destinations.
  • Provide station leaders and operational teams with guidance on operational execution, process standardization, systems, human resources, communication, and revenue enhancement.
  • Partner with Commercial, Key Client Management, and Vertical leadership to strengthen customer retention, convert pipeline opportunities, expand margins, and develop new Air products and solutions.
  • Build leadership capability through talent identification, succession planning, performance management, engagement planning, training, and leadership development.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applicants who bring different perspectives and experiences and who can demonstrate:

  • Extensive Airfreight product knowledge and relevant operational leadership experience.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including responsibility for P&L performance, budgets, growth, and profitability.
  • Strategic and visionary thinking supported by data-driven analytical and project management capabilities.
  • A customer-centric approach and experience developing productive relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including the ability to lead through ambiguity and organizational change.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
