The Opportunity

As a Regional Control Tower Focal (In-Plant), you will be embedded at the customer site in Nashville, Tennessee, serving as the single point of contact for transportation execution, shipment visibility, issue resolution, and operational performance management. Working as part of a globally connected network of eight Regional Control Towers, you will collaborate closely with customer stakeholders, carrier partners, Control Tower teams, Customer Experience professionals, and Global Service Centers to ensure end-to-end supply chain visibility, proactive risk mitigation, and consistent service delivery. This role offers the opportunity to influence operational performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to strategic customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation and logistics execution activities at the customer site.
  • Manage operational escalations from issue identification through resolution and closure.
  • Lead daily operational and SIM meetings, ensuring accountability and follow-up on action items.

  • Drive supplier, carrier, and logistics partner performance reviews through KPI monitoring and operational reporting.
  • Ensure transportation master data integrity, support root-cause analysis activities, and contribute to process standardization initiatives.
  • Support statement of account controls, spot quote requests, reporting activities, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Own the analysis of late-shipment and delivery-performance trends, working with the appropriate Maersk teams to identify root causes, define corrective and preventive actions, and provide the customer with regular updates on actions and performance improvement.

We Are Looking For

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who can contribute to a collaborative and customer-focused environment.

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain operations, Control Tower, or LLP environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across customer and internal teams.

  • Experience handling escalations, shipment visibility, exception management, and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting operational data and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

  • Strong, clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to lead operational discussions and escalate risks effectively
  • Proficiency in Excel, operational reporting tools, transportation management systems, and shipment-visibility platforms
  • Comfortable working onsite in a customer environment and collaborating across global teams

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
