The posting

Magic Media is a pioneering media, entertainment and tech group powered by creativity and innovation. We have a physical presence in 15 countries and expertise in the areas of art, animation, cybersecurity, game development, software development, VFX and video production amongst others. We work with leading developers and publishers within the games and tech industry, providing support and solutions designed around individual needs and carried out by global experts.

We're looking for a Front End Engineer who is self-motivated, goal-orientated, and a strong team player. The ideal candidate will have solid experience building high-performance, browser-based games for iGaming, with a focus on PixiJS rendering and Svelte application development. Experience with Stake Engine is a big plus. We are looking for someone who is passionate about crafting polished, responsive game experiences and who is willing to work with artists, animators, game designers, and math/backend engineers to ship awesome games.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

● Build and maintain slot and casino game front ends using PixiJS and Svelte.

● Implement reel mechanics, win presentations, bonus features, and UI/UX flows from design and animation specs.

● Integrate game clients with backend/RGS APIs, ensuring accurate round states, balances, and results display.

● Optimize performance, load times, and responsiveness across desktop and mobile browsers.

● Collaborate with artists, animators, game designers, math developers and QA to deliver polished, certification-ready games.

● Write clean, reusable, well-tested code and contribute to shared libraries and tooling.

Requirements

● 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with at least 1 year in iGaming or game development.

● Strong experience with PixiJS (WebGL/WebGPU rendering, sprites, containers, filters, particles, tweening) for 2D game development.

● Strong experience with Svelte / SvelteKit and modern TypeScript/JavaScript.

● Experience optimizing real-time rendering and asset loading for web and mobile browsers (60 FPS targets, texture atlases, memory profiling).

● Understanding of responsive layouts, cross-browser/device compatibility, and iGaming compliance requirements (e.g. responsible gaming, game history, regional requirements).

● Fluent in English.

DESIRABLE PLUSES:

● Experience developing slot games on Stake Engine, including integration with its game server (RGS) APIs and its front-end SDK.

● Experience integrating Spine animations (e.g. pixi-spine) into PixiJS games.

● Familiarity with slot game mechanics (cascades, respins, cluster pays, multipliers, bonus rounds) and RTP/volatility concepts.

● Experience with Vite, Vitest/Playwright or similar tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.

● Solid technical foundation (e.g. Computer Science / Maths Degree or equivalent).

Benefits

● Project based remote position.

● An opportunity to hone and improve your skills by applying them to a diverse variety of engaging projects.

● Be part of an international Group with offices worldwide.

● Career growth and development.

● Working closely with a team of like-minded people in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

● Ongoing training and professional self-improvement opportunities.

● Flexible working hours.

● An inclusive culture and open communication.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
