Magical Beginnings is hiring a Preschool Classroom Teacher for our licensed early education center in Essex, Massachusetts.

In this role, you’ll lead a classroom of preschoolers through daily routines, hands-on learning experiences, and age-appropriate curriculum that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. If you’re an experienced preschool teacher, pre-K teacher, daycare teacher, or early childhood educator who loves the 3-6 year age group, we’d love to meet you.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required)
  • Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
  • An energetic approach to learning and an positive attitude
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team-focused mindset

Some requirements for this role include:

  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills

As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with your co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters
  • Keeping parents informed via the Class Dojo app and classroom boards
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly classroom environment
  • Leading age-appropriate, interactive activities that encourage participation
  • Opening and closing the classroom, including cleaning toys, tables, floors, and bathrooms, emptying trash, sanitizing after children leave, and preparing for the next morning
  • Engaging children in free play, supervising outdoor time, and assisting with bathroom needs
  • Supporting snacks, meals (preparing snacks, heating lunches, cutting food, opening containers), and naptime
  • Following the school’s structured daily schedule
  • Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments
  • Maintaining your EEC-required professional development hours and PQ registry
  • Attending monthly staff meetings
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with children and families
