The Next Generation of Baseball Sales Professionals

The MLB on Deck Sales program is designed to provide participants a jump-start in their sales careers through a series of training sessions and consideration for entry-level sales opportunities across Major League Baseball (MLB) and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) entities. With a focus on attracting well-qualified applicants, MLB aims to place individuals who successfully complete this program directly into hiring pipelines with clubs.

Participants will take part in an eight week-long program aimed at providing the basic tools, knowledge, and understanding of the ticket sales world, giving them a distinct advantage in the interview process for entry level sales positions. Participants will attend weekly virtual training sessions led by members of the MLB Ticketing Department in addition to sales executives from across MLB. By the conclusion of the program, participants will be placed in the pipeline for all MLB and MiLB clubs to access and engage with when looking to fill new entry level sales positions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled as a student at a four-year college or university, community college, trade school, or a recent graduate of any entity
  • A desire to work in sports beyond the field with a focus on sales
  • Exceptional interpersonal ability, including being prepared to nurture relationships and manage communications remotely with a wide range of individuals
  • Intrinsically motivated, reliable, and outstanding work ethic
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to attend weekly virtual sessions via Zoom

This series of training is unpaid and is free for selected participants. All participants that successfully go through the program will receive a certificate of completion and will be placed in the pipeline for future sales opportunities with MLB and MiLB clubs. Submit your application below to be considered for the MLB on Deck Sales Training Program. Be a part of The Next Generation of Baseball Sales Professionals.

Why MLB?

Major League Baseball (MLB) is the most historic of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. Employees love working at MLB because of the culture of growth, teamwork, and professionalism. Employees who are most successful at MLB take initiative, know how to identify problems and provide solutions, and always put the Team first. For those ready to step up to the plate and join the major leagues, MLB takes the same approach as teams do with their players: empowering our “workforce athletes” to be at their best by engineering experiences that put employees in the best position to succeed. Major League Baseball is looking for candidates who are passionate about growing America’s pastime to best serve its fans for decades to come.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

Is it a subscription?
