The posting

Mangopay is a wallet-based payment infrastructure built specifically for organisations with complex, multi-party fund flows. A pioneer in multi-party payments.

Our solution optimises fund flows on behalf of the organisations we work with using wallets as programmable, composable building blocks.

Mangopay’s regulated platform collects payments, secures transactions and holds funds, splits money between the various parties in the funds flow, and ultimately manages the payout to service providers, sellers, and consumers.

Platforms and fintechs using Mangopay regain control and transparency over multi-party payment flows, generate additional revenue, and improve operational efficiency. They can stay compliant while innovating and scaling.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) to strengthen our Financial Crime Compliance function within a regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI).

This role will have a strong focus on overseeing Financial Crime Compliance Operations, acting as the main Compliance point of contact for operational matters, and ensuring robust oversight, independent challenge, and effective escalation of financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Operations Oversight: Act as the primary Compliance point of contact for all Financial Crime Operations activities, providing guidance, oversight, and support on complex operational matters.
  • Four-Eyes Validation: Independently review and validate financial crime investigations, transaction monitoring cases, and operational decisions to ensure quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • SAR/STR Review: Review internal suspicious activity reports, challenge investigation findings, and assess cases requiring escalation to the MLRO or reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Complex Case Escalations: Act as the key escalation point for high-risk customers, suspicious transactions, sanctions-related matters, and sensitive financial crime cases.
  • Quality Assurance & Controls: Identify gaps in investigation quality, operational processes, and financial crime controls, driving remediation and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Compliance Operations, Risk, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and timely resolution of compliance matters.

What We're Looking For

  • Solid experience in AML/CFT, Financial Crime Compliance, or Compliance Operations within an EMI, payment institution, fintech, or financial services environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial crime investigations, transaction monitoring, CDD/EDD, sanctions, and suspicious activity reporting.
  • Proven ability to review, challenge, and validate complex investigations and risk-based decisions.
  • Good understanding of AML/CFT regulatory requirements and financial crime operational controls.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex escalations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
