The posting

We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven, and people-focused Food Kiosk Area Manager to oversee the performance and operations of multiple food kiosk outlets within an assigned area. The Area Manager will be responsible for sales growth, profitability, operational excellence, people development, food safety, customer experience, and compliance across all assigned kiosks. The role requires a hands-on leader who can translate company strategies into consistent execution at store level while developing Store Managers and building high-performing teams.

The Area Manager is accountable for the performance of multiple kiosks — developing Store Managers, driving sales and profitability, ensuring operational consistency, maintaining food safety and customer service standards, and building a strong pipeline of capable leaders. The key measure of success is not only how well the Area Manager manages individual outlets, but how effectively they develop Store Managers and create a consistent, scalable, and high-performing operation across the entire area.

Key Responsibilities

1. Area Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations and overall performance of multiple food kiosks within the assigned area.
  • Ensure all outlets consistently meet company standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, safety, and operational execution.
  • Conduct regular store visits and operational audits to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure company SOPs, policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently implemented.
  • Review store opening, closing, service, preparation, and operational processes.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure outlets are adequately supported during peak periods, new openings, promotions, and operational changes.

2. Sales & Profitability

  • Take ownership of the overall sales and profitability performance of the assigned area.
  • Drive achievement of monthly and annual sales targets across all outlets.
  • Analyse sales trends, outlet performance, product mix, customer traffic, and productivity.
  • Develop and execute action plans for underperforming outlets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales through upselling, promotions, product mix, service improvements, and local initiatives.
  • Monitor food cost, labour cost, wastage, and other operating expenses.
  • Drive productivity and cost-control initiatives without compromising product or service quality.
  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to senior management.

3. Store Manager Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers to achieve operational and business targets.
  • Set clear expectations and performance objectives for Store Managers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and store management meetings.
  • Identify training and development needs and implement appropriate action plans.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of supervisors and future Store Managers.
  • Hold Store Managers accountable for sales, profitability, people, customer service, and operational standards.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

4. Manpower & Workforce Planning

  • Review manpower requirements across all assigned outlets.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective deployment according to business volume.
  • Work with Store Managers to manage rosters, leave, attendance, and manpower gaps.
  • Support recruitment and selection of Store Managers, Supervisors, and Service Crew where required.
  • Monitor staff turnover, absenteeism, productivity, and retention.
  • Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure proper onboarding, training, and development of new team members.

5. Customer Experience

  • Drive consistent customer service standards across all outlets.
  • Monitor customer feedback, complaints, reviews, and service performance.
  • Ensure Store Managers take ownership of customer issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Identify customer experience trends and develop initiatives to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure service standards remain consistent across different locations and teams.

6. Food Quality, Safety & Hygiene

  • Ensure all outlets maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company food safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular food safety and hygiene checks.
  • Review audit results and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
  • Monitor product consistency, portion control, preparation standards, freshness, and presentation.
  • Escalate significant food safety or quality concerns immediately to management.

7. Inventory & Cost Management

  • Oversee inventory management across all assigned outlets.
  • Monitor stock accuracy, stock levels, product usage, wastage, spoilage, and variances.
  • Review inventory reports and identify unusual or excessive variances.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce food wastage and improve food cost.
  • Ensure proper stock receiving, storage, rotation, and FIFO practices.
  • Work with Store Managers and relevant departments to resolve supply and inventory issues.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimise operational losses.

8. Financial Controls

  • Ensure proper payment-handling and POS procedures are followed across all outlets.
  • Monitor sales reconciliation, payment variances, refunds, discounts, and void transactions.
  • Review financial and operational reports and investigate significant variances.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are maintained to protect company assets.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the assigned area.

9. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for each outlet.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
  • Track performance against targets and identify areas requiring intervention.
  • Prepare regular area performance reports and action plans for management.
  • Use data and store-level insights to make informed operational and commercial decisions.
  • Monitor completion and effectiveness of agreed improvement plans.

10. New Outlet Opening & Business Projects

  • Support the opening and launch of new kiosks within the assigned area.
  • Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, training, stock preparation, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure new outlets meet company standards before and after opening.
  • Support company promotions, campaigns, menu launches, operational projects, and other business initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent execution of new initiatives across all assigned outlets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in food & beverage, retail, hospitality, or multi-outlet operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management position.
  • Proven experience managing multiple outlets, stores, kiosks, or locations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong track record in sales, profitability, people management, and operational performance.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, inventory, labour, and cost management.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret business performance data.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent reporting tools.
  • Highly mobile and willing to travel between assigned outlets.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
