Job Description & Requirements
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
1. Responsible for accounting processes and tasks like reconcile Bank Balance (account reconciliations) & Cash in Bank Balance, ensure figures are matching.
2. Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
3. Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
4. Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks
5. Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit
6. Responding to vendor enquiries regarding finance
7. Preparing analyses of accounts, sending statements on a monthly basis
8. Filing and scanning of documents / (Purchase Invoices /Sales Invoices / Bank Entry documents / GL entry docs / Inter co invoices)
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
1. Review and verify invoices and check requests
2. Track payments and process MIS reports
3. Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
4. Reconcile accounts receivable transactions
5. Monitor accounts to ensure payments/receipts are up to date
6. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
7. Reconcile customer collection report with Bank Ledger
8. Correspond with customers and respond to inquiries
9. Assist with month-end closing
10. Prepare and submit company’s GST returns on a quarterly basis.
OTHER DUTIES
1. Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
2. Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
3. Preparing/ submission of annual tax returns for the company; liaising with tax consultant for the same.
4. Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
