This position focuses on leading custom Design lifecycles for human-machine interface controls, integrating both electrical engineering and mechanical engineering concepts with a strong emphasis on low-power IT hardware and Medical device applications. The ideal Hardware Engineer will take ownership of hardware from initial Prototyping through regulatory verification, Manufacturing transfer, and ongoing field support.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Competitive Pay: $110k - $140k/yr DOE to start! If you are transitioning from another Accounting role, we offer great starting rates for our second-shift hours.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Includes premium health insurance (medical, dental, vision) and eligibility for an incentive recognition bonus program.

Responsibilities Include

  • Prototyping & Diagnostics: Perform Prototyping evaluation, board bring-up, and electronics troubleshooting using standard laboratory equipment to resolve hardware issues.
  • Regulatory & Verification: Define hardware testing criteria, collaborate with test teams, and ensure all Medical device documentation aligns with regulatory standards.
  • Manufacturing & Lifecycle: Facilitate a smooth Manufacturing transfer, evaluate component substitutions, and provide ongoing technical support to Manufacturing teams.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Hardware Engineer or in a related electrical engineering role taking complex electronics from concept to production.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Design & Layout: Strong expertise in Design analysis, embedded microcontrollers, schematic capture, and multi-layer PCB design.
  • Testing & Assembly: Demonstrated hands-on Prototyping experience, diagnostic capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration with mechanical engineering teams.
  • Technical Skills: Sound technical writing skills and a background supporting cross-discipline IT and engineering infrastructure.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience developing products within a regulated Medical device environment.
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer, magnetic sensing systems, and wireless compliance testing.

What's In It For You

  • The opportunity to own end-to-end hardware development for innovative Medical device products.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
