This is a direct hire opportunity with immediate need due to growing production demandsespecially in broaching operations on 2nd shift. We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift team. This position is responsible for operating production machinery, conducting inspections, and following ISO and safety procedures to ensure quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working with precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate screw machines and assist with broaching and other precision machining processes
  • Perform in-process inspection checks every hour using various gauges
  • Complete spot checks and detailed in-process inspection reports
  • Follow ISO-compliant quality procedures and support audit readiness
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Communicate any mechanical or process issues to shift leads or supervisors
  • Participate in cross-training and support other team members as needed
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed throughout shift

Compensation:

Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidate's experience, mechanical ability, and work history. Entry-level candidates start at $18-$23/hour, with higher pay negotiable based on skill.

Skills & Qualifications::

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and hard gauges
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Experience operating screw machines or working in a machine shop
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality documentation
  • Experience with broaching or insert work a plus

Physical Requirements & PPE:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Safety glasses and earplugs are provided and required
  • Uniforms are provided
  • Oil-resistant shoes required (steel toes not mandatory)
