Job Summary:

As a Legal Secretary, you will be providing key administrative support to a team of lawyers in the Litigation practice. The candidate that will thrive in this role is someone who is independent, dynamic, and enjoys a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment - while being able to pick things up quickly and maintain impeccable professionalism in their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial support, including scheduling appointments, travels, submitting expense claims, and screening all incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Prepare, format, and proofread litigation documents, including pleadings, affidavits, submissions, court forms, and correspondence.
  • Manage court deadlines and coordinate court filings, hearings, and communications with court officials.
  • Prepare court bundles and hearing materials, and arrange the filing and service of court documents.
  • Assist lawyers with the billing process, including drafting pre-bills, editing narratives, and finalising bills.
  • Handle legal administrative tasks, including opening and closing files, maintaining document databases, formatting legal documents, and ensuring accurate record management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, with 7–12 years in a reputable law firm. Prior experience in litigation or disputes is highly preferred.
  • Exemplary spoken and written communication skills. Please note that the ability to speak Mandarin is highly advantageous so as to communicate with regional offices.
  • Proficiency in handling legal documentation, and a familiarity with local court processes is preferred.
  • Organised, efficient and able to work independently in an fast-paced environment, with the resources to resolve issues as quickly as they arrive.
  • Exceptional professional conduct and ability to handle communications discreetly while maintaining confidentiality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
