The posting

At R2, we believe that small and medium businesses are the productive engine of society. Small and medium businesses (SMBs) make up over 90% of companies in Latin America, yet they face a trillion-dollar credit gap. Our mission is to unlock SMBs potential by providing financial solutions that are tailored to their needs. We are reimagining the financial infrastructure of Latin America - where SMBs financial needs are satisfied without ever having to go to a bank.

R2 enables platforms in Latin America to embed financial services that SMBs can then leverage (starting with revenue-based financing). We are a tight-knit team coming from organizations such as Google, Amazon, Nubank, Uber, Capital One, Mercado Libre, Globant, J.P. Morgan. We are entering a new phase of growth following a strategic investment from Ant International, focused on rapidly expanding our partner footprint, strengthening our credit and underwriting capabilities, and scaling our operations across multiple markets.

The Product Manager IC4 is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning complex product areas end-to-end, driving measurable business outcomes, and partnering closely with Engineering, Data, Risk, and Commercial teams. This role operates with high autonomy and is expected to influence strategy while remaining deeply hands-on in execution.

This position is ideal for a product leader who thrives in fintech environments, understands credit, payments, or financial infrastructure, and can translate ambiguous problems into scalable product solutions for LATAM markets.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own a critical product domain (e.g. Credit, Risk, Payments, Platform, or Partner Integrations) with full accountability for outcomes.
  • Translate company and business objectives into a clear product strategy, roadmap, and execution plan.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation aligned with market needs, regulatory constraints, and scalability.

Execution Excellence

  • Lead discovery, definition, and delivery of product initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Write high-quality PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize backlog using data, customer insights, and business impact.
  • Ensure timely delivery in close partnership with Engineering.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Define and track product KPIs (e.g. activation, conversion, risk metrics, operational efficiency).
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to continuously optimize product performance.
  • Partner with Data and Risk teams to ensure strong measurement and feedback loops.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a trusted partner to Engineering, Risk, Operations, Legal/Compliance, and Commercial teams.
  • Influence stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Communicate product vision, trade-offs, and progress clearly to leadership.

Customer & Market Focus

  • Deeply understand customer pain points across LATAM markets.
  • Incorporate regulatory, operational, and cultural nuances into product decisions.
  • Engage with partners and customers when needed to validate solutions.

Experience:

  • 6–9+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within fintech, lending, payments, or financial infrastructure.
  • Proven experience owning complex products in regulated environments. Experience working closely with Engineering, Data, and Risk teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High level of autonomy, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • Experience in LATAM fintech ecosystems.
  • Exposure to credit products, underwriting, collections, or risk platforms.
  • Experience working with B2B or platform products.
  • English proficiency (advanced).
  • Owns product areas of high complexity and business impact.
  • Influences product strategy but does not manage people.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
