The Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support in an integrated preschool classroom..

The position is a 24-30 hour per week position with an hourly rate based on the collectively bargained Paraprofessionals Unit Contract.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Takes direction from preschool teacher and Coordinator in the program Provides academic, social/emotional and/or behavioral assistance to students as necessary and as indicated by the preschool teacher Assist student(s) with mobility, toileting, or other activities of daily living (ADLs). Implement, under the direction of the preschool teacher and, if necessary, as trained, any behavioral plan or intervention strategy in effect for a particular child. Reports any particular academic, social-emotional, or behavioral concerns to the preschool teacher. May be required to serve as a bus monitor for preschool students who require specialized transportation. Perform any other related activity as identified by the preschool teacher or coordinator. Commitment to fostering an inclusive milieu. Ability to be a flexible, engaged team member. Participation in training in crisis intervention strategies will be required (provided by district).
