The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Service Coordinator position in Winnipeg, MB. The Rehabilitation Service Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing programs that support the efficient and safe delivery of Community Support Services to individuals with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or cognitive/physical disability. Wage: $31.12 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities:
Manage and approve program resources, including human and financial resources, to meet program goals and objectives.
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Support Services staff within a predetermined budget and in accordance with approved program plans.
Coordinate the assessment, development, and implementation of Individual Rehabilitation Plans with assigned staff.
Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness and implement changes to improve service delivery.
Participate as a member of the Community Support Services administration team in planning, problem-solving, quality improvement, and reviewing service delivery performance.
Act as a resource to staff and families in the provision of long-term support and services.
Coordinate services that enable adults with ABI to remain living in the community.
Participate on community committees, where appropriate.
Act as a staff resource to support the activities of the Community Support Supervisor/Program Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or an equivalent program preferred.
2–5 years of experience in the social services or health sector, coordinating services for individuals with disabilities or brain injuries.
Concrete knowledge of the effects of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
Community-based experience working with individuals with ABI, physical disabilities, or special needs.
Demonstrated experience supervising or leading teams.
Working knowledge of third-party funders and applicable legislation.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and train employees, as well as organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments.
Strong ability to assess and determine effective compensatory strategies for individuals with brain injuries.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience with budget preparation and fiscal management.
Knowledge of human relations and behaviour management principles.
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
General understanding of computer hardware and software.
