We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Staff Accountant. This position reports to the Controller and will work in Sparta, TN.
As Staff Accountant in the Sparta team, you will be involved in a variety of finance-related tasks including but not limited to preparing and maintaining accounting records, journal entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and various internal and external reporting and analysis.
Your main responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Process Returned Goods Authorization and General Sales Credits.
- Submit required monthly internal and external reporting.
- Maintain financial performance tracking reports by profit center.
- Maintain and update fixed asset records.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with Accounts Payable entries as necessary.
- Assist with commissions and group rebate reporting.
- Assist with annual pricing updates.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within manufacturing and accounting – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance.
- 1+ years of related position experience within manufacturing environment preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- 1+ years’ experience with payroll administration and general ledger activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Lookups, etc.);
- ERP and Accounting Systems experience.
