Responsibilities

The Assistant Restaurant Manager helps bring the One Bistro experience to life at the Four Points by Sheraton by creating a welcoming environment where guests feel cared for and team members feel supported. In partnership with the Restaurant Manager, this role helps lead daily restaurant operations with a people-first approach, a commitment to service excellence, and attention to the small details that make a meal feel memorable.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys coaching associates, building thoughtful schedules, supporting training, using restaurant technology with confidence, and stepping in wherever needed to help the team deliver warm, consistent service. In the Restaurant Manager’s absence, this role serves as the on-site leader for restaurant operations.

  • Lead, coach, and support restaurant associates, so they feel prepared, valued, and empowered to deliver thoughtful hospitality.
  • Create and manage weekly schedules that align staffing with business needs for One Bistro and 117 private dining.
  • Support hands-on training that helps associates understand service standards, safety expectations, guest care, and the details that create a seamless dining experience.
  • Use restaurant technology, including POS, reservation, menu, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools, to support daily operations and accurate communication.
  • Maintain restaurant procedures, brand standards, and compliance with licensing, hygiene, health, and safety expectations with integrity and consistency.
  • Support staffing, onboarding, performance conversations, and team development in partnership with the Restaurant Manager.
  • Coordinate front- and back-of-house communication to improve service flow, guest experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Respond to guests and associate needs with care, professionalism, sound judgment, and a genuine service mindset.
  • Oversee food and beverage controls, cash handling, end-of-day reporting, product procurement, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Partner in promotions, departmental meetings, pre-shift communication, private dining needs, and special events.
  • Perform Manager on Duty shifts for the hotel and conference center as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience, ideally in a hotel, full-service restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Experience creating team schedules, supporting staffing needs, and adjusting plans based on business volume.
  • Demonstrated experience training, coaching, and developing team members in service standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Comfort using restaurant and business technology, including POS systems such as MICROS/Symphony, reservation platforms such as OpenTable, menu platforms, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with guests, team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to lead with warmth, professionalism, flexibility, and care while helping create an environment where guests and associates feel welcome and respected.
  • Working knowledge of cost controls, inventory, cash handling, service quality, and food and beverage operations.
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds as part of regular restaurant operations.

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience considered
  • Tips and SERV Safe Certified required

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The hiring range for this position is $68,000 - $84,000 a year.
  • The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.

The position is eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, and time off, including vacation and sick time. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
