The ideal candidate will have hands-on AWS experience, proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration, and the ability to independently own a portfolio of work and projects from defining the approach through execution, while collaborating with internal and vendor teams to maintain reliable operations and drive continuous improvement. • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues involving compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM and application connectivity.
  • Support incident management, root cause analysis and problem resolution within SLA expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with security and operational standards, including administrative account control, patch status, services and logging.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and vendor teams to coordinate fixes, maintenance and escalations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations and procedures.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements, including automation and process refinement where appropriate.
  • Identify, propose and implement cost-optimization improvements.
  • Independently own a portfolio of work and projects, from defining the approach through execution.
  • Support audit activities by gathering findings and creating and providing documentation in accordance with audit requirements.
  • Participate in a rotating weekly on-call schedule.

What you need to have:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Hands-on experience supporting AWS environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure concepts, including compute, storage, networking, security groups, DNS and IAM.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance controls in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on routine tasks and projects.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience supporting regulated, government, or highly controlled cloud environments.
  • Previous audit experience, including gathering findings and creating and providing documentation in accordance with audit requirements.
  • Scripting or automation experience.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and basic log analysis.
  • AWS certification or equivalent cloud credentials.
  • Experience with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Experience using Agile tools to plan, track, and manage operational work.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and support scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Experience in FEDRAMP/GovRamp.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational stability, efficiency and resilience over time.
  • Previous experience working on a geographically dispersed team.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
