The posting

Looking to build a long-term litigation career where mentoring, meaningful responsibility, and client interaction are the standard—not the exception?

Marshall Dennehey, a leading AM Law 200 civil defense law firm with more than 60 years of dedicated service to our corporate, insurance and individual clients, is seeking a Workers' Compensation and Medicare Attorney with 1 to 4 years of experience to join our growing Medicare Compliance group within our Workers' Compensation Department. This position can work from either the Philadelphia or King of Prussia office.

The Opportunity

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Consulting with employers, adjusters and attorneys on Medicare issues relative to workers’ compensation cases and all areas of defense litigation.
  • Educating clients on proper handling of Medicare set-asides.
  • Providing guidance to our attorneys on best practices and strategies to achieve desired case resolution results, including the use of structured settlements.

You will also be responsible for performing conditional payment searches, preparing Medicare submissions for set aside approval, and drafting Medicare language for settlement documents. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Your Development Matters

At Marshall Dennehey, we invest in our attorneys. While you are not expected to independently manage cases from inception through trial on day one, you will work closely with experienced shareholders and associates who are committed to mentoring and skill development. Through hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting, you will gain the confidence and capability to grow into full case management at your own pace.

Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication skills are highly valued—and continuously refined—within our litigation groups.

Firm Culture

We pride ourselves on a diverse, inclusive, and open-door culture where ideas are welcomed, collaboration is encouraged, and attorneys at all levels have direct access to leadership. Our attorneys thrive because they are supported.

A Long-Term Career

Marshall Dennehey seeks attorneys who are looking for a true “forever home.” We value steady career growth, internal advancement, and attorneys who want to build lasting professional relationships—while helping others succeed along the way.

In return, we offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • Multiple financial bonus opportunities throughout the year
  • A comprehensive benefits package
  • The firm-funded Marshall Associate Advantage™ Lifestyle Account which can cover student loan repayments, gym memberships, dry cleaning, theme park tickets, home delivered meal kits and more.
  • Long-term stability and a clear future with the firm

Commitment to Diversity

Marshall Dennehey is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (AA/M/F/D/V) and is deeply committed to fostering workplace diversity. Our efforts have been recognized by numerous publications, including the 2022 “Tipping the Scales” Award from the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.

Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter for consideration.

Marshall Dennehey does not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third-party recruiting agencies.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
