Het bedrijfChicken Masters is een familiaal voedingsbedrijf in Deinze, gespecialiseerd in hoogwaardige kipbereidingen voor retail, industrie en foodservice. Met een omzet van circa € 30 miljoen en een 100-tal medewerkers combineert het bedrijf jarenlange productkennis met moderne productietechnologie, expertise in private label en een sterke focus op kwaliteit, voedselveiligheid en innovatie.

Wat veel mensen misschien niet weten, is dat Chicken Masters producten levert aan een groot deel van het Belgische retaillandschap, maar ook samenwerkt met klanten in Nederland en Frankrijk. Achter de kipbereidingen die consumenten dagelijks terugvinden in de winkelrekken, schuilt dus een gespecialiseerde productieorganisatie met een aanzienlijk bereik.

Onder het motto “ Tasty food deserves a Master” bouwt Chicken Masters verder aan zijn groeiambities. In het najaar van 2027 verhuist het bedrijf van Deinze naar een volledig nieuwe productiesite in Moeskroen. Een belangrijke volgende stap die nieuwe mogelijkheden biedt om de productie verder te professionaliseren en efficiënter te organiseren. Om die groei te ondersteunen, zoeken we voor Chicken Masters twee Afdelingschefs Productie.

Je start op de site in Deinze en verhuist in de geplande volgende fase mee naar Moeskroen.

Jouw functie

Als Afdelingschef Productie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse organisatie, aansturing en resultaten van jouw productieafdeling, met een team van ongeveer 20 medewerkers. Je zorgt ervoor dat de juiste mensen op de juiste plaats staan, de prioriteiten helder zijn en de productieplanning efficiënt wordt uitgevoerd. Je houdt het overzicht, stuurt bij waar nodig en neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor de productiviteit, kwaliteit en continuïteit van de afdeling.

Concreet betekent dit dat je:

  • De dagelijkse personeels- en productieplanning vertaalt naar een efficiënte werkverdeling.
  • Medewerkers aanstuurt, coacht en motiveert, met duidelijke afspraken en verwachtingen.
  • De productiviteit en rendementen opvolgt en actief zoekt naar verbeteringen.
  • Waakt over structuur, discipline, kwaliteit en het naleven van procedures.
  • Anticipeert op wisselende productievolumes, personeelsbehoeften en piekperiodes.
  • Nauw samenwerkt met onder meer productieplanning, kwaliteit, techniek, logistiek en de andere afdelingschefs.

Je bent zichtbaar aanwezig op de werkvloer, maar jouw voornaamste rol bestaat erin de werking te organiseren en het team naar sterke resultaten te leiden, eerder dan zelf operationeel mee te werken. Afhankelijk van jouw ervaring en interesses neem je de koude of warme productieafdeling onder jouw hoede. De verantwoordelijkheden en verwachtingen zijn voor beide functies gelijk.

  • We zoeken een resultaatgerichte en organisatorisch sterke leider die medewerkers weet mee te nemen in een verhaal van structuur, efficiëntie en continue verbetering.
  • Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring in de voedingssector, bijvoorbeeld binnen voedingsproductie, vleesverwerking, FMCG of catering. Nog belangrijker is dat je affiniteit hebt met voeding en graag aan de slag gaat in een omgeving waar kwaliteit, hygiëne, productiviteit en samenwerking centraal staan. Ook kandidaten uit andere productieomgevingen met relevante leidinggevende ervaring komen in aanmerking.
  • Een bacheloropleiding of gelijkwaardig werk- en denkniveau is een troef. Kennis van voedselveiligheid, hygiëne en productie-KPI's is mooi meegenomen.
