Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

Primary Location: Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital - Grand Rapids, MI

Department: External Relations

Weekly Schedule Hours: 40 hours, Monday- Friday

Must have experience using the backend of Wordpress

The Digital Marketing Specialist maintains and strengthens Mary Free Bed's digital presence across its websites and online business profiles. Day to day, the role handles website updates and content publishing in WordPress, keeps Google Business Profile, Yelp and other listings accurate, responds to online reviews, and supports search engine optimization (SEO) through audits and implementation. The specialist also prepares digital performance reports that guide decisions and works with departments across the Mary Free Bed system to fulfill digital requests consistently with brand and organizational standards. Working closely with the marketing team, this role keeps Mary Free Bed accurately and effectively represented online so more patients can find and access care.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains online business profiles (Google Business Profile, Yelp and others), including hours, holiday hours, photos, review responses and creation of new profiles as needed.
  • Performs general website maintenance in WordPress: edit and create pages, publish blogs, podcasts and in-the-media posts, update location pages, staff listings and logos, and manage redirects.
  • Completes enhanced website updates, including forms, headers and footers.
  • Conducts SEO audits and implement recommendations as assigned by the digital marketing manager.
  • Pulls and prepares digital performance data reports as assigned by the digital marketing manager.
  • Collaborates with departments across the Mary Free Bed system to fulfill digital requests and ensure consistency with brand and organizational standards.
  • Writes and proofreads web content in accordance with AP style.

Customer Service Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellent customer service and standards of behaviors as well as encourages, coaches, and monitors the same in team members. This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deal discretely and sensitively with confidential information.

Responsibilities in Quality Improvement

Contribute by identifying problems and seeking solutions. Promote patient/family satisfaction where possible; participates in departmental efforts to monitor and report customer service.

Essential Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Experience in the back end of WordPress
  • Knowledge of digital analytics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to multi-task for timely project completion
  • Demonstrated commitment to organizational mission
  • A portfolio or samples of digital advertising campaign work will be required
