The posting

At Materialise Medical, we believe that better healthcare starts with solutions designed around the individual patient. If you’re passionate about bringing personalized care to every patient, you’ll love being a part of this team. Through the technology we develop, researchers, engineers, and clinicians are revolutionizing personalized treatment — helping improve and save lives daily.

The position of Biomedical Design Engineer is an operational role that performs a series of tasks established in the processing of clinical cases for specific patients, primarily in the design stage. Work cases are assigned by a global organizational system that considers planning and surgery dates to establish their priority.

The processing or workflow of each case depends on validated and established procedures (SOPs), which can be found on the Materialise intranet inside of Learning and Development and assigned to each role according to received and approved training. In case of any modifications to these procedures, notifications are automatically sent out, and the engineers must proceed with the review of these changes.

Objectives:

The main goal is to use Materialise software to add value to people’s lives by performing accurate 3D virtual customizing surgical guides or implants for CMF surgeries worldwide.

The 2 main responsibilities include the activities below:

• To use Materialise software to create 3D bone models.

• To create customized surgical guides that will be used by the CMF surgeons in the actual surgery.

• To prepare reports that will be used during the surgeries as references of the planning done and guides designed.

Functions:

• Responsible for performing Materialise and their Partners' cases according to work instructions and daily planning/assignments (impeccable prioritization and coordination in place).

• Participation in process improvement, filling in and submitting related documents if required, registering REAs etc, post actively feedback via CE-QE and Eng-Eng systems.

• Responsible for performing research and software activities if assigned by Team Leader or request coordinator.

• Keep IQVIA system up to date.

• Attend all trainings requested by training programs and PM.

• All SOPs and trainings should be passed and signed off in time.

• Responsible for personal time tracking and TS365 filling.

• Report on issues following the correct communication flow.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
