  • AML QC Experience: Hands-on experience performing quality control reviews of AML investigations, including identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Case Management Platforms: Proficiency with at least one AML case management or transaction monitoring platform, such as Actimize, Oracle, SAS, Verafin, or similar tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of AML compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and investigative standards.
  • SAR Experience: Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and/or submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
  • Investigative & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex transactional and behavioral data, identify suspicious patterns, and determine appropriate investigative actions.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document investigative findings and communicate recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and/or perform QC reviews of end-to-end AML investigations across cases of varying complexity.
  • Review investigations involving potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions violations, and other financial crime risks.
  • Assess whether investigative conclusions are supported by appropriate evidence and whether cases meet established regulatory and internal standards.
  • Evaluate whether investigators have applied reasonable grounds to suspect (RGS) appropriately when determining whether suspicious activity should be escalated or reported.
  • Perform holistic reviews of customer relationships, considering relevant risk factors such as:
  • AML risk
  • Sanctions exposure
  • Fraud
  • Bribery and corruption
  • Terrorist financing
  • Insider threats
  • Customer and transactional risk
  • Review investigative narratives, supporting documentation, disposition decisions, and SAR recommendations for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Draft and/or review SARs in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Analyze transactional, customer, and behavioral data to identify suspicious activity and emerging financial crime patterns.
  • Partner with investigators, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to improve investigative quality and consistency.
  • Support enhancements to AML investigative procedures, quality standards, and controls.
  • Ensure all investigations and QC reviews remain aligned with AML policies, procedures, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
