In May 2016, Mattson Technology was acquired by Beijing’s E-Town Capital. Our new investor’s vision is that Mattson Technology, with its Silicon Valley DNA, will continue to operate as a global, market-driven technology provider serving worldwide semiconductor manufacturing customers. In July, 2025, the company successfully listed in Shanghai’s STAR Exchange. As the external trade compliance environment evolves, Mattson Technology now operates independently from the parent company in product, business, and operations, serving customers outside of China.

The role will support Mattson's trade compliance program and work closely with Shipping, Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and outside logistics providers with strong U.S. export/import compliance experience, with particular emphasis on the EAR

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of import/export compliance experience
  • Strong knowledge of EAR, OFAC, U.S. Customs, and foreign trade regulations
  • ECCN and HTS classification experience
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day export and import compliance activities
  • Perform ECCN and HTS classifications
  • Maintain denied party screening and deemed export processes
  • Support licensing, audits, and compliance monitoring activities
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Assist with cross-functional trade compliance initiatives
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on import/export requirements
  • Support and maintain Mattson's overall trade compliance program

Salary Range: $106,000 - $145,860
