The posting

Name of Authority: Nanyang Junior College

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 8:00am to 5:15pm; Wednesdays: 8:00am to 4:45pm. Each day includes a 45-minute lunch break.

• If a 30-minute lunch break is preferred, daily working hours end 15 minutes earlier.

• During examinations, reporting at 7:00am may be required, with time off for additional hours.

• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Requirements:

• Primary education and ability to read and write simple English.

• Ability to handle chemicals, including acids and bases, with some knowledge of laboratory safety.

• At least one year of science laboratory experience in a junior college is preferred.

Job Scopes:

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Open and lock laboratory doors and windows.

2. Clean laboratories, workspaces, equipment and other assigned school premises.

3. Prepare apparatus, equipment and reagents for practical sessions.

4. Wash, maintain and store laboratory apparatus and materials.

5. Support STEM instructors and perform other assigned duties.
