Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

Key accountability and decision ownership: Impact on the business:

  • Achieves the set financial targets with specific reference to total contract value & billings.

Strategic sales management:

  • Prepares a detailed sales strategy outlining the Account Plans, forecasts and pipeline management.

Leadership and teamwork:

  • Work & engage with internal stakeholders to develop action plans to ensure account strategies are executed upon

Communication:

  • Accountable for Senior Leadership & C-level engagement strategy to set a strong business foot print in the industry

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Understanding of the Value Chain Analysis with regards to various customer businesses.
  • Understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate it as viable appealing market offerings
  • Understanding of business landscape with specific reference to the target market
  • Account Management / Sales Engineer/ Sales Management in at least one of the following areas – ICT system integrators, Telco service providers, technology, engineering, professional service sectors, communications, marketing.

The ideal candidate for this role must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in Account Management / Sales
  • Minimum qualification: Bachelors Degree or equivalent (ICT & Telco technical background is an added advantage)
  • Experience in managing Government/ Public Sector customers is an added advantage.
