Executive Director - Education Services May School WilmingtonFull-Time | Wilmington, MA   Lead with purpose. Transform lives. Join May Institute as the Executive Director of our May School in Wilmington, Massachusetts. In this influential leadership role, you will guide a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional educational and clinical services to students with autism and developmental disabilities.   Role Overview   As Executive Director, you will provide the clinical, educational, operational, and strategic leadership needed to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services. You will oversee the school’s day-to-day operations and collaborate with executive leadership, educators, clinicians, and support teams to strengthen student outcomes, staff development, program quality, and long-term sustainability.   What You’ll Do  

Lead strategy and day-to-day operations: Establish and advance the school’s clinical, educational, and operational priorities in alignment with May Institute’s mission and long-term vision. Build and develop high-performing teams: Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture while overseeing staff hiring, onboarding, supervision, evaluation, mentoring, training, and ongoing development. Advance quality and innovation: Strengthen educational and clinical practices, incorporate emerging research, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that promote safe, high-quality student outcomes. Guide financial strategy: Manage the school’s annual budget and support sustainable enrollment and census goals. Ensure appropriate student placement, program capacity alignment, and achievement of organizational enrollment goals. Education and training opportunities: Provide internship opportunities, BCBA trainee programs, and support conference attendance. Deliver meaningful, individualized instruction: Oversee curriculum development, instructional design, and evidence-based educational practices for students with autism and related disabilities. Ensure ethical and regulatory compliance: Ensure services are delivered in compliance with professional ethical standards, DESE regulations, applicable state and federal laws, organizational policies, and agency standards and goals.

  What You Bring  

Master’s degree in special education, behavior analysis, or related field required; Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred. MA Licensure as Special Education Administrator (All Levels) preferred. 7 + years of experience serving in a leadership role in an educational setting. Significant experience with productive staff management, supervision, and mentoring resulting in strong teams and improved outcomes. Demonstrated commitment to ABA philosophy, principles, and procedures; commitment to ongoing professional development. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.
